After a year and a half of recovery, neurospinal surgery, physical therapy, determination, and a whole lot of love, Gus Gus is back doing what he loves most.

His parents never gave up. Neither did Gus.

Keem came through our ER before transferring to Internal Medicine for urinary and kidney care. His mom made sure his favorite pink bowl came along for the ride, and honestly, we think it was a key part of his treatment plan.

We're happy to report the emotional support bowl worked exactly as intended. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’–

We were happy to support Animal Network Rescue annual Play Fore Paws Golf Tournament again this year!

They does so much for pets in our community, and weโ€™ve been fortunate to help care for several of their animals when they needed specialty or emergency services.

Like Slinky โ€” one of the sweetest shepherds weโ€™ve ever met and a pup who left a lasting impression on our team. โค๏ธ

Harley came in for a TPLO consult.
Michael left with a hair appointment. ๐Ÿ’–

When Harley first met with our board-certified surgeon, Dr. Wood, nurse Michael couldnโ€™t get over her amazing pink hair. By the time Harley came back for surgery, they were matching.

Harley underwent a TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy), a procedure used to stabilize the knee after a torn cranial cruciate ligamentโ€”helping dogs get back to running, playing, and living their best lives.

Harley got a repaired knee. Michael got a fresh color.
Weโ€™d call that a successful week all around.

Thanks to Harleyโ€™s mom for the inspiration, and to Harley for setting the fashion standard around here. Weโ€™re still trying to decide who wore the pink better. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’•

Birthday wish: One healing leg, one happy dog, and many more birthdays ahead. ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿพ

This is Diego.

If you've been around our hospital lately, you've probably seen him. Following a traumatic attack that left both Diego and his owner seriously injured, he's been visiting us almost daily as our team works to save his leg.

Today, though, isn't about bandages, treatments, or appointments.

It's Diego's birthday. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿซถ

We're incredibly proud of the progress he's made and thankful to everyone who has helped along the way โ€” especially our friends at the Nevada SPCA Life-Saving Shelter , who matched our contributions to support his care.

His journey isn't over yet, but seeing him celebrate another birthday surrounded by people who care about him feels pretty special.

This crew is proud to be part of the only board-certified veterinary oncology service in Las Vegas, bringing advanced cancer care to pets across our community while never losing sight of the human (and furry) side of medicine. ๐Ÿ’š
