Have you ever met a dog that was too smart and silly for their own good? That’s Tulip!

She’s one of the sweetest and goofiest 2-year-olds we’ve met in a while. Take her on a walk, and she instantly knows her place, happily trotting from sniff to sniff without tugging on the leash. Give her a butt scratch, and look out! She’s happy to lean into your body for pets and burrows her head into your lap.

Somehow, she’s been in our care for more than 190 days! In playgroup, Tulip greets other dogs well but likes to ramp up and wrestle with her 4-legged friends. This means she doesn’t always make fast friends, but with time and proper introductions, we know Tulip would make a great pet.

To give her the best chance to succeed in your home, we’re giving Tulip’s adopter a free scholarship to our Bark to Basics dog training program. Over 5 weeks, you’ll work with our Certified Professional dog trainers to master the basics and train Tulip to be the best girl on the block.

Does your teenager hide in their bedroom? Is your toddler suddenly too independent for cuddles? Meet Sunny. She’ll happily fill that void.

She’ll snuggle up to you and soak up the sunshine, and honestly, it doesn’t get better than that.

4-year-old, 38 lb Sunny was dumped outside the shelter and is now looking for a soft place to land.

This wiggly girl is stressed in the shelter and could really use a calm home. Her manners need a little polishing, but she’s treat-motivated and eager to learn. She’s not into rowdy play. She’d rather sunbathe and relax with her people.

From her foster: “She is so sweet, great in the car, loves walks, and made me laugh with her constant cuddle requests.”

🥁 Drumroll please… CHAPPO has been adopted!

This sweet boy arrived at the shelter on the brink of death. Today, he’s thriving.

Chappo’s new family renamed him Gumbo, and honestly…it fits.

He’s playful, smart, energetic, and living his absolute best life. We couldn’t be happier.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, or supported his journey. You helped save his life.

If you missed his story, here’s a quick reminder of just how far he’s come:

When Gumbo arrived at the shelter, he weighed just 21 pounds—less than half of what a healthy dog his size should weigh. You could see his ribs, spine, and hips. He was so weak he couldn’t lift himself onto a dog bed.

Our veterinary team immediately started a monitored refeeding plan, and slowly, his tail started wagging. He began gaining weight. He began trusting again. And now, he’s found his forever family!

🚨 Cormin URGENTLY needs a hero! Let’s get this amazing boy a foster or forever home ASAP!

When Cormin arrived at the shelter, he was shut down, covered in bloody wounds, his paws were swollen, and he was walking with an uneasy gait. We’re not sure what happened to him, but we cleaned his wounds and gave him pain medication while he healed.

This 2-year-old snuggle master is anxious and stressed in the shelter. He’s demand barking, panting, and pacing. He spends time working one-on-one with our training team, hangs out with his doggie friends in playgroup, goes on foster field trips, and gets daily walks from our volunteer team, but he’s still struggling.

When he’s outside of his kennel, he’s an absolute dream. He’s shy at first, but once he knows he can trust you, Cormin becomes a perfect little snuggle buddy. Everyone who meets him comments on his calm, mellow energy and his love of scratches of all kinds. He’s got a soft spot for belly rubs, and his whole face lights up when you hit that one scritchy spot on his neck.

When we say he likes to snuggle, it’s probably the understatement of the century. Just look at him all snuggled up in a blanket with his favorite stuffed animal when he was in a foster home!

We need Cormin to find a loving foster or adopter by Thursday, 12/11 at 3 pm. C’mon, Las Vegas, this guy is special. Let’s get him into a comfy, quiet home! His ID # is A1398335

Uno is an easy-going guy. Give him a pet, and you’ll be his whole world.

His foster updates are almost too mellow. “He’s good,” is the most common report we get from his foster family.

6-year-old Uno is calm and friendly, walks well on a leash, and enjoys car rides with his nose out the window. This 105 lb boy is polite when meeting new people, and never says no to a good chin scratch.

What a turnout!

This weekend, we provided 130 microchips and 183 vaccines at our free community event—meaning more pets are now protected, healthy, and safe.
