Update #3. We made the match!!! THANK YOU EVERYONE! We have the surgery covered. Please keep Winnie in your thoughts💕🐾🐶

Update #2: Winnie is holding her own. She has the tube feeding down now so she can get nutrition she desperately needs and this will help strengthen her for surgery. Her pain is under control and she is being doted on at Durango Animal Hospital. This poor little girl at only 7mos has suffered greatly. Her surgery is scheduled for Tuesday. We are $735 away from our goal. A wonderful supporter who wishes to remain anonymous has offered to match up to $750 on donations made today!! Your contribution will be doubled until midnight tonight. Please help Winnie today. She's fighting best she can. Winnie deserves a chance to be a puppy again. The lemonade stand is back! Be sure to stop by Petco Summerlin tomorrow (Saturday) 1230-230p while we're there. Enjoy a refreshing lemonade. We'll also have some gifts to purchase. All proceeds are for For Frito. These funds are designated for the severe, the neglected, the abused, and the confiscated dogs. It is through Justice for Frito we hope to educate and shed light on the magnitude of the problem in Las Vegas right now. It is time for a change. Be a part of the change.

Frito is home. If anyone would like a copy of his paw or nose print please let me know. I will be scanning in his prints and can email you a pdf or I can snail mail you a copy. Frito is our dog and everyone is entitled to this keepsake.

Knox and Kenna are two compassionate kids who followed Frito online and wanted to raise funds to help with his medical. As we all know, Frito is now on the other side but these kids know Frito has brothers and sister who need help so they put together a lemonade stand and sold cute paw bracelets to help raise money.

It's so heart warming to see kids taking initiative like this. I'm sure Frito is smiling on the other side.

Frito was abused and neglected by his humans. He was found in Las Vegas on a patio covered in f***s during a scalding summer day of 110F. Frito had no food or water and survived by eating p**p. He had third degree burns on all four of his little paws. He was confiscated by animal control and taken to the Las Vegas pound The Animal Foundation where he received some much needed medical treatment however they are a pound not an emergency vet clinic.

Connor and Millie's Dog Rescue CMDR stepped in as they saw Frito's urgent need and through their generous donors raised funds to pay for desperately needed critical care. Frito was transported to Durango Animal Hospital where he received all the emergency care he needed.

Frito's videos were seen by tens of thousands of people and even though he was betrayed by his family, he gained a massive new family spread out around the world. They donated funds, they sent packages to the vet, they sent their love and said prayers.

Frito responded and had some very small improvements but he was refusing to eat and then xrays and ultrasound showed some horrible truths. The neglect and abuse that this little old man suffered had taken its toll and even though Frito was loved by many, his body was tired and he was in pain.

On Thursday, June 20 2024, we had to make that decision that nobody should make but you have to do it for them. He was in pain and we exhaustively explored every option with the veterinarians. Unfortunately his previous neglect gave him a short future filled with pain and nobody should toil through that.

I spent nearly 2 hours with him, petting hims, holding him, kissing him, talking to him. I let him know how much he was loved. We said prayers and sang. I did a facebook live because Frito wasn't my dog or CMDR's dog but rather he was OUR dog. He belonged to all of us and I wanted everyone to have the opportunity to be there with me.

He is now on the other side and at least he left with dignity while being showered in love instead of alone on a f***s covered patio. When my times comes, I look forward to seeing him again but until that time we must fight for him and the many others out there like him.

This page is for Frito. This page is so we can all stay abreast of what's going on with his case and rally together. We need to let officials know Frito mattered and that his abusers cannot just be slapped on the wrist.
