Nevada SPCA is an independent 501 (c)(3) nonprofit shelter that is completely supported by the community through individual donations, foundation grants, special events, and fundraisers. We are not a local affiliate of the ASPCA and we do not receive funding from any government contracts.

Although her name is Storm, she brings so much calm with her easygoing energy and lovable personality. ⁣

This 12-year-old girl is shy at first but give her some time to warm up and reveal her gentle personality. Sugar enjoys the simple pleasures…lazy afternoons snoozing in her cat tree and watching the world go by through the window. ⁣
⁣
She has experience around other kitties (with proper/slow introductions) and would just love to find a family where she’ll get unlimited amounts of love, attention, and care. Sugar arrived into our care declawed. ⁣

Say hello to Peanut! 🥜 🐕

This handsome 5-year-old (48 lbs) sweetheart is as social and bubbly as they come. Peanut has been nothing but friendly with everyone he’s met…playful, affectionate, and loving!

He came to us with an old injury — sadly, he had been shot by a BB gun before arriving in our care. While the wound has healed, his front paw still carries a scar, and he’ll need a bit of activity management to keep him feeling his best. ❤️‍🩹🐾

But despite it all, Peanut’s spirit remains unshaken. He’s ready for a new chapter with a family who will cherish him and give him all the love he’s always deserved. Meet-and-greet with any current household dogs.

Nevada SPCA is a donor-supported 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1982 as Las Vegas’ original no-kill animal shelter. Our shelter does not receive funding from any national SPCA, or government agency. At Nevada SPCA, we are dedicated to bringing pets and people together and inspiring a more humane community in Southern Nevada.

In 2019, Nevada SPCA found homes for 2,203 animals; including 923 dogs, 1,001 cats, and 279 other small animals. We currently take in dogs, cats, and small pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs, that come primarily from owner surrenders and transfers from the municipal shelter. These animals are provided with temporary shelter and lifesaving medical care until we can find them the right fit with a permanent, loving home. Nevada SPCA is a much-needed safety net for animals in our country's fastest-growing city.
