Our mission is to offer lifesaving programs and services to rescue at-risk companion animals in Doña Ana County and support people and their pets in living healthy and happy lives together. We also run the local pet food bank, the Prisoners and Animals Working Toward Success (P.A.W.S.) prison dog training program, and our Second Chance Thrift Store. We know it is a long shot, but we are seeking a sponsor for a new Speed Queen commercial washer/dryer set. It's been a few years since we have had a commercial set, and the light commercial washer we have now makes doing the laundry challenging because it is small and has an agitator. Washing pet beds, in particular, is so slow that our manager has to take cat beds home each week to wash at home.
Even at a nonprofit discount, this Speed Queen set will run us $6000. This is not something we can afford right now with our financial situation still being pretty dire.

Miracle needs another miracle. We need your help to find her a home as an only dog.
We rescued Miracle many months ago from the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley when they put out a call for help. Miracle needed immediate medical attention, so we pulled her and got her the help she needed. The poor girl was infested from head to toe in fleas and ticks. She was a stray from Anthony, and she was severely anemic. It took two blood transfusions and nutritional supplements to get her healthy again.
But ... Miracle doesn't like other dogs. It's probably because of her past situation.
Please share this far and wide. Miracle deserves a loving home after everything she's been through.

Davey--a PAWS grad and our longest-term dog--is going to Animal Humane New Mexico in ABQ on Thursday. He needs to be there by 1:15--and we still can't find a volunteer to transport him there. If anyone can assist, please text our manager at 575-644-0505.
Davey will travel in a carrier. And the transport person does not need to stop for a potty break.
You just have to wait in ABQ an hour or two after drop off until we verify he is accepted.
