Sweet Gracie, a small dog with a big heart, was living with severe pain caused by Stage 4 dental disease. 🐶🐾

Eating had become difficult, and the infection in her mouth threatened not only her comfort but her overall health.

Thanks to the Doña Ana County Humane Society's Animal Relief Fund, Gracie was able to receive the veterinary dental care she desperately needed. Her treatment relieved her pain, improved her health, and gave her the opportunity to enjoy life again with her loving family.💙🐾

How sweet is Xochitl? 🐾 Xochitl was recently adopted from the shelter and needed training for puppy foundation behavior. Instead of surrendering her back to the shelter, her dad called DACHS and was able to receive two complimentary training sessions through the Ruff to Ready program. 🐶

Say hello to Casper 🐾🐶

Casper is a lovable pup with a big heart—but like many dogs, he needed a little help learning how to shine his brightest. Through our Ruff to Ready program, Casper recently completed training focused on leash behavior and socialization, building the skills he needs to confidently navigate the world by his human’s side.

Programs like Ruff to Ready do more than teach good manners—they help keep pets out of the overcrowded shelter and right where they belong: at home, with the people who love them.

Because of this training, Casper’s future is brighter, his bond with his family is stronger, and his chances of staying in a loving home are greater than ever.
