This lovable, energetic pup recently faced a scary moment when he accidentally broke his leg and needed emergency veterinary care. Thanks to the compassion of our community, Duke’s dad qualified for DACHS Animal Relief Fund medical care vouchers—support that helped make his surgery possible and kept this little family together.

🍂🐾 We are grateful for our generous community this Giving Week 🍂🐾

Look at this happy face! Sierra was adopted from the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley but once she was home, she started experiencing issues adjusting to her new surroundings. Through the DACHS Ruff to Ready program, Sierra and her family were able to meet with our certified dog trainer to get some tips, tricks, and guidance to help set her up for success. The Ruff to Ready program strives to keep pets in homes and from being surrendered to our local shelters. 🍁 Wishing You a Happy Thanksgiving from DACHS! 🧡

The Doña Ana County Humane Society will be closed on Thursday, 11/27 and Friday, 11/28 so our team can spend the holiday with loved ones. We will resume normal operations on Tuesday.

As we head into this season of gratitude, we want to say thank you. Your support helps us keep pets healthy, safe, and with the families who love them. We are truly grateful for this compassionate community during our Giving Week: Unleash Generosity.
