Lil Mama enjoyed Friday's ribbon cutting at Pinellas County Animal Services so much that she decided to continue her social media stardom. She and Commissioner Chris Scherer toured the new art at the Pinellas County Tax Collector's Office in Largo. The murals, by local artist Frankie G Art, highlight Pinellas County landmarks as well as Florida wildlife.

Once a week, one of Pinellas County Animal Services adoptable dogs are brought over to spread their sunshine 🌞 to the 911 dispatchers.

Today we brought an old beautiful soul named George. He's estimated to be 9 years old but you would never know it as he's a spry playful boy. He's the perfect size at just 43 lbs He came to the shelter as a stray so we don't know his back story. He's very gentle and easy going, prefers treats over toys but is always down for a good belly rub session.

Today, Pinellas County Animal Services revoked the Pet Dealer Permit of Blue Sky Puppies, a retail pet store in Clearwater.

Earlier this month, our officers received a complaint alleging that the store sold sick puppies and the conditions inside were crowded and unsanitary. During our investigation, our animal control officers uncovered more than one hundred violations of our Pet Retail Store and Animal Care ordinances.

Protecting animals is one of our primary duties, and the practices in use at this store posed a risk to the puppies for sale there. We’ve taken the strongest steps available to us and will be referring this case for further investigation.

At Pinellas County Animal Services, we take your complaints seriously. If you see an animal being mistreated, please call or send us an email and our highly trained staff will investigate.

Today we brought 2 year, 53 lb. rockstar Jon Bone Jovi, a beautiful hound dog mix with the most adorable Bassett Hound feet.🐾 Jon is shy at first and needs a few moments to get acquainted with you.

He's best if you get down to his level, let him come to you, treats definitely speed up the process. He came to the shelter as a stray so we don't know his back story. Once he does get comfortable with you, he wants to snuggle and cuddle with you. He's very gentle and easy going, prefers treats over toys but is always down for a good belly rub session.

Jon Bone is also a Playgroup SUPERSTAR! He's romping ad playing with 12+ dogs every day!

🐾 Quiche Lorraine! 🐾😁
This gorgeous 2-year-old, 61-pound pup is as unique as her name! It's hard to believe she came into the shelter as a stray — with her lovely black coat, white chest patch, adorable white-tipped toes, floppy ears, expressive face, and that cute little stumpy tail, she's a total heart-stealer. 💕

💕🐾 Cowboy 🐾💕

This sweet 2-year-old, 62-pound gentle soul has been through a lot—he ended up at the shelter after his owner passed away 💔. But even with all that change, Cowboy remains the sweetest, friendliest pup you'll ever meet.
He greets everyone with a soft tail wag and kind eyes, and his calm, loving energy makes him a joy to be around. Cowboy is housetrained, walks beautifully on a leash, and truly has one of the best demeanors we’ve ever seen.
