My name is Holly and I am the NALC certified breeder behind Peach Tree Catahoulas. We are located in Fostoria, Michigan. We are a small breeder producing one or two litters a year. It is important to us that we breed to the NALC standard. We are not producing pups to overpopulate the breed. If we post pups that are looking for homes, please read the following BEFORE you inquire.

1. I reserve the

right to retain any pup from any litter that is born here regardless of deposits that have been left on the litter.
2. No puppy can be held without a deposit. I do accept Paypal for those deposits. It should be understood that the purchaser shall be responsible for the Paypal fees. The deposit will go towards the final cost of the puppy. Deposits are NONREFUNDABLE. I require $300 to hold a puppy. If you choose to leave a deposit on a litter that has not been born, I cannot guarantee s*x or color. If you choose to pass on a litter, I will roll over that deposit on the next litter. If you do not choose a puppy from the following litter your deposit will be forfeited and will not be returned.
3. All puppies are sold without breeding rights unless discussed otherwise. If a puppy is sold as pet quality the NALC papers will be marked as such. There also may be the need to have pet quality puppies sold with a neuter/spay contract. This is non-negotiable. If you purchase a pup with said contract the NALC papers will be held until that pup has been fixed. Proof of this service is required before papers will be mailed.
4. Please make sure you speak to the family before you contact me regarding a puppy. My time is valuable, and I do not have hours to spend talking about a puppy only to be met with a "I'll ask my..."
5. I have the right to refuse the sale of any puppy. This may include pups that have a deposit holding them. If for some reason, I refuse the sale your deposit will be returned.
6. All pups will be examined by our licensed veterinarian and receive the age-appropriate vaccinations and de-wormings.
7. Please research the breed. Catahoula's are a wonderful breed, but they are also high energy. Please take into consideration the time it will take to train a puppy. They need a job and do best in homes that can provide the adequate space and exercise necessary to keep them happy and satisfied.
8. We have sold pups out of state and do have contact information for a trusted transporter that we will share for those who need that assistance. Please understand that fee is separate and will need to be discussed with the transporter when you make arrangements. We are not responsible for pups once they have left our property. If you are having a pup shipped the balance of the puppy must be paid 10 days prior to the pup being shipped.
9. If you are picking up your puppy in person, we accept payments of cash only.
10. If a puppy is purchased from Peach Tree Catahoulas and circumstances change down the road this dog must be offered back us. We do not want our dogs ending up in shelters or homes where they may not be a good fit.

Every breeder knows this feeling. Your phone buzzes a few days after a puppy goes home, and the message starts out sweet.

“We love him, but…”

And you can already guess the rest.
He barks. He nips. He cries at night. He’s “a lot.”

The thing is… that isn’t a problem.
That’s a puppy.

They’re babies trying to figure out life without their mum and littermates. They’re confused, overstimulated, excited, scared, and curious all at the same time. That’s completely normal.

But a lot of people today want the easy version. The one they see online. The perfectly calm eight week old who never chews anything and somehow already knows every command.

They forget that behind every well trained, well mannered adult dog is someone who put in the work. Someone who showed up every day with patience, structure, and consistency.

So when someone says, “He’s adorable, but I don’t think we’re a good fit,” what they usually mean is that they wanted the love without the learning curve.

No puppy comes pre programmed. Even the best raised babies need time to adjust. They need guidance, calm energy, and someone willing to put in the effort.

People confuse an easy puppy with a good one.
The truth is every puppy is good. They’re just new.
And anything new is messy before it becomes magical.

As breeders, we see it all. We comfort the ones who come back scared and confused. We remind them gently, “You didn’t do anything wrong.”

Because it’s never their fault when someone wasn’t ready for the tough parts that lead to the best parts.

Puppies aren’t a trend, or a trial run, or something to “see if it works out.”

They’re a commitment. A little piece of your heart on four legs.

If you’re not ready for the messy parts of puppyhood, that’s okay. Just wait until you can give your whole heart.

These little souls deserve nothing less. 💜🐾
