I realize I've been super quiet again! Nothing like getting run down energy wise.

- We have a bunch of litters on the ground! 3 new dwarf litters and 3 standard (so far).

- Next dwarves for reservations are a few weeks out. Standards are just after that.

- I've paired for Dalmatian, DWS, and DownUnder to continue the lines until I can reign in more focus on them.

- Had a few hard losses in the Rattery both from old age and unexpected issues. So happy to have offspring from each loss tho to carry on their parents wonderful personalities.

- I finished my spring semester and have a couple weeks before summer starts.

- Got a new housemate, so we've been adjusting to the new changes and such (that takes more mental energy than I realize).

- Started a new job as well, but that schedule should be evening out next week or the week after.

I'm really excited about the current litters and the holdbacks that will make the next generation.

I'm looking at switching how I do wait-lists to reduce my workload and how much time it takes me to process apps and get in touch with people. These are my thoughts:

1. Start doing a small application fee to cover my time and energy of processing apps. You will be required to reach out when the app is sent in and do the fee within 24hrs. This will not apply to return adopters returning within 2 years.

2. Create an approved list that must be reapplied to every 6 months. This approved list will be allowed to reserve when rats are posted to the website at a set, announced time (likely weekends and some evenings). Working on getting a function email/text announcement setup. This will reduce all the reaching out to folks that never reply, waiting for folks to respond, etc. Returning adopters will just need to provide updated cage/QT setup/carrier pics and answer some questions on current rats and and changes. Claiming will go in order of whoever reaches out for the rats first and puts a deposit down within 6 hours.

Rattery Updates!

- Dwarf babies are a few weeks out from reservations for those that are on the wait-list. It'll be in small batches as each litter is spaced out by a week or two.

- I've got a few pairings going in lines I've been looking forward too and waiting for my holdbacks to grow! Dumbo Tonkinese, Merle, Harley, Dumbo Hairless, Chocolate/Agouti Velveteen Dumbo, DownUnder, and Dalmatian. Some of these pairings will be WIP lines to make progress on, some will be for the public.

- Working to bring my Merle into my dwarf lines, as well as dwarf into hairless and a few others.

- Working to bring projects and lines back into focus as I plan for a busy summer and fall. This means I may have a few holdbacks and adults looking for new cribs over the next month.

I've gone thru the wait-list for standard bucks and does from my last group! Next standards will be ready to reserve towards the end of May early June.

I've had some ladies who just aren't wanting to get pregnant or only have given me 4 pups at a time.

I do have dumbos and top earred paired in a couple pairings right now that should produce some lovely babies.
