Ruff Patches is an all volunteer-run animal welfare and advocacy organization. Ruff Patches is dedicated to keeping pets in homes! We provide food to low income pet owners, provide behavior support and veterinary support when we have the funds. Of course, we also rescue homeless animals and find them new, loving homes. We hold adoptions at Petsmart at 47th St.

Poor Romeo's been through a tough patch 💛

Our sweet rescue boy, Romeo, recently had a flare-up from his ongoing skin allergies. A new kind of treat made him super itchy all over, with visible irritation near his nose and hair loss on his back from scratching. But thanks to the incredible care of Dr. Ortega at North Valley Veterinary Center, Romeo’s on the mend and feeling much more comfortable. 🐾

Allergic reactions like Romeo’s require specialized treatment, and as you can imagine, veterinary bills add up quickly. Every rescue deserves the best care possible, just like Romeo is getting.
