There’s a section in my boarding agreement requiring all residents to be current on Rabies, Distemper & Bordetella (kennel cough) at the time of their stay in an attempt to see that all my residents are in a safe & protected environment.

That being said, I’d be lying if I said that things won’t occasionally slip through the cracks by mistake. I’m putting this out there to remind everyone that I am human & mistakes do happen, but also to inform those who are skeptical of administering certain vaccines to their pets. This is not to place blame, but rather to inform & raise awareness. I sincerely apologize to those that I had to call & cancel their reservation this morning, and to the owners & pets affected by this. 💔 Play & Stay is closed for 2 weeks due to a kennel cough outbreak.

Going forward, I will be ramping up my requirements regarding proof of current vaccines. I feel I have always been very diligent in this department, but now more than ever. All pets will be required to provide proof of current vaccines with a minimum of 2 weeks since they’ve been given.

The safety & comfort of all my residents has always been & will continue to be my top priority. I pour my heart into this & today my heart is hurting. I am so very sorry. 💔

Lengthy post— but full of important info! 😁👇🏼

🎉 It’s re-opening week! 🎉 Play & Stay will be back up & running starting this Friday, February 20th, with a few minor changes to see that things run as seamlessly as possible.

🐾Pick up/Drop off times🐾
In an attempt to accommodate to owners the best I can while also being able to schedule help with baby during the busier times of the day, the new drop off/pick up schedule is as follows:

8:00-9:00am
11:00am-1:00pm
5:00-5:30pm (half day charged for checkouts during this time)

If your pet needs to be dropped off before 8am, they will need to come the evening prior, and likewise, if they need to be picked up after 5:30pm, they will need to stay until the following day.

🐾Discontinuation of Sunday Daycare🐾
Sundays are for check-ins, check-outs, kennel cleaning & family. ♥️

🐾House calls will be fewer & farther between🐾
This has been a long time coming, and with the new addition to the family I’m depended upon at home more than ever before. If an occasional house call is needed, please reach out so I can look into my availability, but I’ll no longer be offering week-long house visits.

Just a reminder that Play & Stay Pet Resort is closed until the end of February. In the meantime, I will be responding to inquiries as soon as I’m able while allowing myself some time & grace while we enjoy this short & sweet time in our lives. Thank you all for your patience & understanding. ♥️

💥MATERNITY LEAVE ANNOUNCEMENT💥

With baby’s arrival being only 2 months away, after much deliberation it’s been decided that Play & Stay will be closed in its entirety (All boarding, daycare & home visits) effective December 20th, 2025 and will re-open February 20th, 2026. I realize the inconvenience this may cause for some, and while I’m so sorry for that, time is ever so fleeting and I don’t want to regret not spending it the way it matters the most. Like I’d said previously, I’d be more than happy to refer you to a reputable boarding facility during this time in hopes of you returning to me once I reopen. I will return calls & messages as timely as I can, but please have patience with me as I’ll be settling into my new (crazy 😁) normal, and concentrating on what matters most- family. ♥️

**As of this time, I do plan to operate as normal until that time comes while requiring owners to have an emergency contact/plan B in the event that baby girl has other plans.

Thank you so much, again, for allowing me to care for your 4-legged family, and for your understanding as we prepare to welcome our little unexpected blessing. ♥️

💥 NEW LOCATION 💥

We absolutely dominated what was seemingly impossible in a VERY short amount of time. My tiny army told me at the end of the week ‘we honestly didn’t think we’d get it done’… They sure played it cool in an attempt to keep me from freaking out! 🤣💪🏼

It’s here, and I couldn’t be more grateful. And I can’t lie, heading out for early morning potties in my slippers sure is slick! 👌🏼☕️🥰

Hey friends, most of you know that I moved recently, so I won’t be seeing you all regularly at Play & Stay, but I still help sometimes with social media (and I’ll be back to visit). Today I need to share some exciting news, and ask for a favor.

Having been best friends with Erika for years, I was able to watch her build the kennel from the ground up, literally.
