This girl came to us in rough shape. Not sure what her actual story is, just what we can assume. But it seems as a puppy she belonged to someone who put a collar on her when she was still small. I dont know what happened after that to cause Maybelle to grow up with that collar on, but it happened. The collar was so deeply embedded in her neck, that it required surgery to remove. She had a pretty deep wound there for a while but it healed. Shes got a nice scar left to represent what a warrior she is and that she's a survivor! Maybelle is absolutely lovely. She's a beautiful girl, still young, between 1 and 2. During her healing period with us, she's also been spayed, heartwormed treated and vaccinated. MayBelle has a lovely temperament. Good with other dogs (as long as they are friendly, too) Doesn't seem too bothered with the clinic cats and LOVES kids and people. Shes very sweet and very playful. She would LOVE a place to run and play and get all her zoomies out. She's a mixed breed, yes, she's obviously got some pitbull mixed in there but she's for sure a "mutt" in every since of the word. The best breed if you ask me. MayBelle is all healed up now and ready to find her forever home! Let's talk about Pickles. Pickles is a 3 year old male Bassett Hound Mix. Hes been fixed, fully vetted and heartworm treated. Pickles is absolutely adorable at less than 2 feet tall and a whopping 40lbs. Hes completely house trained and people and animal friendly. Sounds perfect right? Mostly. Pickles is a HOUND. Which means he cannot stand to be crated, kenneled or pinned up in any capacity. He doesnt mind being in the house as long as hes able to roam the house freely. His previous owner was an elderly man who just let him have the run of the house. However due to illness his owner had to return him after having him for a few years and he's just not been able to find the right fit yet. Pickles would do great with someone who is at home a lot and didnt mind Pickles lounging on the couch while they are all away, or someone with lots of land in the country where he can run when they weren't at home. Pickles does not do well with fences, hes practically a houdini or a HOUNDini if you will. Pickles is an absolutely adorable, loveable guy who's had a tough go of it lately but I know that just the right person for him is waiting around the corner. Is it you?
