Cat introductions: they’re hard. Doing them correctly and not risking chaos can take a long time. It’s hard to know what to do because every situation is different, but there are a few things to avoid. I’ll tell you what those things are in my new video on my YouTube channel!

My cat Linus never ceases to amaze me! When he got diagnosed with diabetes, I knew it would be a challenge giving him daily injections because I'm afraid of needles and he's easily overstimulated by touch and has a low tolerance for restraint. Well, here's an example of what's possible. We achieved this together through cooperative care training.

If you watch the video and think "No way my cat would do that!" I just want to share that Linus is a cat who enjoys limited hands-on attention and has a low tolerance for any kind of restraint. We didn't get this far because of my skills as a trainer. We got this far because we spent time working together, building a foundation of trust.
