Adoption #158 was Snow! Yes, again 😊 But this post will be a little different than the other adoption celebrations. Our gorgeous girl Snow here has been adopted and returned by her owners twice now. This means she is, for the third time, available at the Beanery for adoption.
In both previous adoptions, she just could not get along with the cats already living in the home. Both owners were patient and tried their best, but the situation created too much stress for both Snow and the existing kitties.
After the second return, one of our awesome volunteers took Snow home to foster, made sure to do a slow and supervised introduction, and closely observed how she interacted with the cats already living in her home. They all got along great! So it truly was just bad luck for Snow to not mesh with her new family mates both times - she is capable of fitting into a home with cats ❤️
While we wish either of those situations would have worked out for Snow and her family, we stand by our promise to every Beanery cat that they are always welcome to come "home" to us if they need to find a new forever home!

Adoption #157 was Lulu! She was found by local animal control with her tail injured - it looked like a pipe cleaner when she got to us 😊 She had no lasting injuries though, and this lovely lady fell for her quirky personality right when they met. Although it looks like she's petting a black void, we assure you Lulu is there next to the pillow...

TICKET GIVEAWAY BELOW!
Next Wednesday, Black Cat Beanery will be screening "Kedi", a beautifully-shot documentary that tracks the stories of seven cats that live on Istanbul’s streets ("Kedi reveals a city's humanity, the unique relationship between humans and cats, and warms the heart. It is a love letter to cats and their city.").
As usual for Wednesday nights, no children under 16 will be allowed, and we will have alcoholic beverages available for sale! Tickets are only $10 for the screening, all food and beverage will be a la carte for this event.

Adoption #156 was Mash! Those of you who have been to the Beanery will definitely remember this little grey menace as the guy with the unhealthy obsession with Churu. If your fingers got in the way of his Churu, you were in trouble. This lovely couple are the perfect match for Masher! He's already a local celebrity in their hometown 😂 In honor of Father's Day, we are including the "bonus" adoption photo we sent them as a joke, capturing Mash at his peak.

Adoptions #154 and #155 were Holly and Xena! If you visited the Beanery at all in the past few months, you definitely knew Xena - she was the one that always looked like this : 😾. Holly was the adorable little troublemaker keeping the whole Cat Room on their toes. They are the perfect pair to go home together, and this couple has what it takes to get Xena to soften up and smile a little 😊

Adoption #153 was Navel. As you cna probably guess by the photo, Navel was not a big fan of being handled by us humans 😂 He is a sweet soul and a BFF to his brother (still available!) Mandarin, but a little too spicy for his adoption photo. He was adopted by the same lovely family that took home Danny Girl, so he has a built-in buddy at his forever home!

Adoption #152 was Danny Girl! She was a 4-year-old momma cat found wandering the streets of Holly by one of our rescue partner's staff. She was immediately comfortable and friendly at the Beanery, so it's not a surprise she only lasted 10 days before this sweet pair came to take her to her forever home ❤️

Adoption #151 was Brock! Our little buddy had quite the journey, being returned to us once, then struggling a bit to re-adjust to life at the Beanery. But his new Cat Dad was waiting for him, and it's an incredible match - as you can see ❤️ Dad and cat are BFF, and we couldn't be happier with how it all turned out!

Adoption #150 was.... wait for it.... SASSY!!! This was a big deal and a big day at the Beanery. Our Queen Sassy lived with us for 550 days before it was her turn to finally go home. This wonderful family was a great fit for her, and they keep us posted on how our girl is doing with home life (she's doing great!). Thank you again to her new family, and everyone that sponsored Sassy during her stay!
