A couple weeks ago our very own Vet Tech Ashley, and her girlfriend, Caitlin competed with their dog Chandler for the first time in a North American Dock Diving (NADD) competition. His best distance jump was 22’9”. To give you an idea the average jumping distance for Golden Retrievers in the NADD is 14’9”. Chandler can fly!

December abounds with holiday celebrations, and nothing can spoil good cheer like an emergency trip to the veterinary clinic. These tips can help keep the winter holiday season safe for pets.
As with many items this past year, we are now seeing shortages with some dog and cat foods. It’s been hard for some companies to get the raw materials needed to produce the food and then many also have a shortage of employees to get the food out and delivered to stores. If you find yourself unable to find your pets food and are forced to switch brands/flavors, we recommend doing a slow transition from the old food to the new food over the period of a week or two. An abrupt diet change can lead to gastrointestinal upset and no one wants to deal with diarrhea! We have had really good luck with Purina Proplan having most of their foods readily available and in stock! If you’re interested in ordering their food you can follow the steps below and have it shipped to your front door for FREE every time!

We have very exciting news! We have partnered with VitusVet to bring you a FREE app linked to our clinic to give you access to your pets’ medical information! This will help save time and provide the best possible care for your four-legged family members!
It is very convenient: If you find yourself going to an emergency clinic, groomer, daycare, or boarding facility you have access to your pet’s records (vaccinations, bloodwork, prescriptions) which you can share with them directly from the app!
This app will let you know when your pet(s) are coming up due for vaccines and will let you know of upcoming appointments!
Along with this you will notice that our reminders for upcoming appointments will be coming to you digitally! They will come over as a text message and email where you can confirm the appointment directly from there!
To link your account we do have to have a cell phone and email on file here with us. If you don’t have those two things on file or want to confirm your information with us to make sure we have it, you can call us at 920-648-8400 during business hours.

We pulled two deer ticks off a patient here during their exam the other day. These are the ones that carry Lyme disease. Here they are next to some objects showing how tiny they really are! Another reason why we recommend year-round flea and tick preventative!
