A Win for Early Detection: Jasmine’s Story 💙
Jasmine came into our hospital for her annual wellness visit with Dr. Tolson. Her owner opted to utilize our NuQ Cancer screening test as part of her annual.
NuQ is a simple blood test Lake Emma is proud to offer with wellness visits that screens for 7 different common cancers that can occur in our canine loved ones.
This screening provides a “High” “Moderate” and “Low” risk result offering us the opportunity to look further in cases where symptoms are not even present yet.
Jasmine was doing well at her visit and had no health concerns, and still, her NuQ screening result came back with “High” suspicion. After scheduling Jasmine for an exploratory abdominal ultrasound a mass was found on her liver. Jasmine’s family immediately followed up with Animal Cancer Care Clinic and had the mass removed.
Two weeks later Jasmine’s follow up NuQ had low suspicion and she began chemotherapy treatments and is now doing well. We are so happy for Jasmine and her family and are grateful to the NuQ Cancer Screening test for this success story 💙🐾
