โ๏ธ Too hot to walk your dog?
That doesn't mean it's a day to do nothing.
When temperatures climb and outdoor walks aren't safe, find ways to get moving together indoors through training, games, enrichment, and purposeful play. Dogs need daily physical and mental exercise regardless of the weather. Some dogs need more than others, but every dog benefits from moving their body with intention, just like we do.
And for those who struggle with anxiety, whether two-legged or four-legged, movement can be one of the most effective stress relievers. Free-roaming in the backyard isn't the same as a walk, structured exercise, or engaging play. Purposeful activity helps burn energy, regulate emotions, build confidence, and support overall well-being.
Even better? It strengthens your relationship with your dog. Every game, training session, and shared activity is another opportunity to connect, communicate, and have fun together.
So if it's too hot outside, stay safe, get creative, and get moving.
Your dog is counting on you. โค๏ธ๐พ
