🤬Urgent Animal Welfare Alert

I find this situation absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. Recently, 11 kittens (and two moms) were found suffering from severe upper respiratory infections and bulging eye infections, trapped in a zip lock bag outside in 100-degree heat—likely over 120 degrees inside their makeshift prison, wrapped in garbage bags.

One poor kitten had to be euthanized because she was too far gone. The woman responsible thinks the kittens’ eye conditions are just a result of them “waking up.” This is utterly heartbreaking.

All the kittens have been surrendered, and shockingly, she wants to know if she can have them back once they’re better. Absolutely not. Not even when hell freezes over.

This is a reminder that we must all be vigilant—see something, say something. Please send your prayers for these kittens; they need all the love and support they can get.

🌈🐾From the moment you were rescued from the church wall to your last breath, you were a very special boy, loved more than you could ever imagine. Your gentle look, sweet kisses, and the sound of your heartbeat on my chest will forever echo in my heart.
Fly high, sweet boy... until we meet again on the other side.

I'm sharing this photo from another rescuer. Please if you are trapping, NEVER leave your traps unattended. As you can see so many things can go wrong. Thankfully she is an experienced trapper and never leaves her traps unattended. By the grace of God this kitten wasn't injured. Our mission is to help them. We certainly don't want to hurt them.

🚨 Important Update from The Ranch Rescue 🚨

Due to an unexpected medical emergency, any scheduled adoptions for this weekend are being canceled/postponed. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s understanding during this time.

Please know this was not an easy decision to make. The health and wellbeing of both our animals and team must come first right now. We will personally reach back out to everyone affected as soon as possible to reschedule and continue the adoption process.

Thank you all for your patience, kindness, and continued support for our rescue babies ❤️

Statistically speaking, “free kittens” often continue the heartbreaking cycle of cat overpopulation. Not every kitten ends up adding to the problem, but a high majority do.

If you’re considering taking in free kittens, ask about the mama cat too. Is she being spayed? Is there a plan to prevent more litters? People who take kittens without addressing the mother’s situation may unintentionally enable the cycle to continue. Ending suffering starts with prevention.

And if you’re someone who suddenly finds yourself caring for kittens, your first priority should be getting mom fixed. I know money can be tight and resources can feel impossible to find, but even small sacrifices now can prevent countless future kittens from being born into hardship, danger, or uncertainty. Don’t wait. Make a plan. Skip that morning coffee and start saving now.

Reach out to shelters, rescues, or TNR programs for guidance on safely rehoming kittens and getting mom spayed. Many organizations are overwhelmed, especially during kitten season, so they may not be able to solve everything for you, but advice, support, and information can go a long way if you are willing to be proactive.
