2-Step Oxygen Check💨
Breathing problems can often show up fast and seemingly out of nowhere!
Here’s a quick 2-step oxygen check you can do right now to see whether your dog or cat may benefit from supplemental oxygen therapy at home.

Step 1: Count the breaths
Set a 30-second timer while your pet is resting.
🐶 Dogs: ≤ 15 breaths in 30 seconds (≤ 30 per minute)
🐱 Cats: ≤ 20 breaths in 30 seconds (≤ 40 per minute)

Step 2: Peek at the gums by lifting the lip. Healthy gums look bubble-gum pink. Blue, grey, or very pale gums can signal low oxygen.
