incorporated in the State of Idaho. Located in Kuna, ID, the sanctuary provides a permanent loving home for all types of rescued backyard farm animals. We make sure that they live out their entire lives in peace at the sanctuary, where they are treated with the kindness and respect they

deserve. Our mission is to provide shelter, food, care and protection for the animals in our custody. Also, through farm tours and via social media, we give the animals a voice to tell the public their stories. Dominifarm’s rescued animals function as ambassadors so visitors and/or viewers can watch their daily lives, get to know each animal, and gain an appreciation for their species. DOMINIFARM:

-Welcomes public, private, group, organization, school, and corporate visitors, by appointment only. Private tours are by donation, suggested at $25/hour for up to four people.

Summers in Idaho hit hard, and our animals feel it. We do everything we can to keep them safe in the heat — shade, solar fans, kitty pools, an above‑ground pond… whatever helps them stay cool.

This week a wonderful neighbor donated an 8’ x 6’ mini greenhouse frame, and we turned it into a shade shelter for our chickens (and the rabbits, who immediately claimed it too). We ordered a shade cloth from Amazon, attached it to the frame, and for under $20 we created a cool, breezy hideaway that will make a huge difference in the heat.

Small project, big comfort for our sanctuary family. ❤️

Vinny is one of our most complicated loves.

He’s a very territorial, very dominant 7-year-old potbelly pig — a 200‑pound boy with big feelings and bigger tusks. He’s a biter, and to keep our volunteers safe, we lock him in his pen during feeding and chore times. As soon as everyone leaves, he gets his freedom back and spends his days roaming the property with the other pigs… or shadowing me while I work from home.

I adore him. Truly. But I’m always careful around him. He needs clear boundaries, calm correction, and a human who won’t back down when he tests limits. So I make sure he knows I’m the alpha — not by fear, but by consistency. The moment he shows even a hint of aggression, I redirect him firmly. It’s not easy to manage a 200‑pound unruly pig, but I will never give up on Vinny.

We’re building something real — a relationship made of respect, love, and slowly growing trust. He’s not a simple pig, but he’s ours. And he’s worth every bit of patience. 💗🐗

“Hi friends… it was vet day today.”
Lady Gaga, Peanut, Diana, and even our rooster Football have a lot to say.

“Dr. Schultz checked all of us — four horse dentals (we’re still drooling a little), six vaccines, two mini‑cow pokes, two piggy hoof trims, full herd checkups… and Football was so brave during his abscess surgery.”

“We know it’s a big day for our humans… and a big dent in the budget. But they do it because they love us.”

“If you can help pay our $1,736 care bill with $5 Friday, we’d be so grateful. It keeps our smiles shiny, our eyes bright, and our piggy feet comfy.” Thank you 🙏

Dominifarm isn’t a dog rescue, but our three farm dogs are a huge part of our sanctuary family — especially old Lulu.

When she first arrived, she didn’t trust anyone. Volunteers were “intruders,” and she’d growl and try to herd them right back to the gate. She was shy, unsure, and fiercely protective of her space.

Now she’s a completely different girl.

These days she gives our regular volunteers her proud little “guard dog bark,” then greets them with tail wags and a lick. And the doxies? Every Wednesday they wait at the door for Caren, crying to go out the second they hear her. They forget all about me and follow her around during her chores like she's their whole world.

Our volunteers have become their second family.

Lulu still has her comfort zone, but she’s nothing like the timid, insecure dog we rescued. She’s blossomed into a confident, loyal sweetheart — thanks to the people who show up for her and her farm animal friends week after week.💗🐕

While our farm friends are out there fighting heat exhaustion, tiny Eiffel is curled up inside under her warm cover. We’ve cut the three dogs’ outdoor time way down during this hazardous air quality — Gustave even started coughing, and that was our wake‑up call.

It’s easy to forget how much the elements affect our animals. They face the heat, the smoke, and the wind directly, all day, every day… long before we feel it ourselves.

Please keep your animals safe. They depend on us more than we realize. 💛

Rosie Posie was born without eyes, and from day one our lonely senior goose adopted her like his own. An old duck joined in, and suddenly this tiny blind baby had a whole little family.

But today was scary.

A gate was accidentally left open and a turkey hen viciously attacked Rosie Posie. Blind and defenseless, she had no way to escape. Her neck was injured, but she will be okay — we got to her just in time. Without intervention, the turkeys would have killed her.

Rosie Posie needs extra protection and care, and we’re making sure she gets it.
She’s resting now with her goose and duck right beside her.
Different beginnings… still fighting for her happy ending. 🦆💛

For those being evacuated — if you need a safe temporary spot for your animals, we’re in Kuna, ID and can help house one equine and two sheep, goats, or an alpaca.

We truly wish we could do more, but the sanctuary is pretty full right now. Still, if this helps even one family breathe a little easier, we’re here.

There’s something so peaceful about watching Spunky root around the yard. 🐽🌾
Her little snout — that flexible cartilage disc at the tip — works like a tiny shovel, gently turning the soil as she searches for whatever treasures nature hid beneath it. Roots, insects, worms… she finds them all with such calm determination.

It’s one of those small farm moments that never gets old. The way she moves the earth with that strong, sensitive nose reminds me how perfectly animals are made for the lives they live.

Just a quiet afternoon, warm air, soft snuffling sounds, and sweet Spunky doing what pigs do best. 💛

Dear friends,

Thank you so much for your concern and kindness. It means more to me than you know. With this extreme heat and the hazardous air quality, my little immune system couldn’t keep up, and I ended up getting pneumonia. I’ve had a fever, a very snooty nose, and I’ve been feeling completely worn out.

But Mom noticed right away, and our amazing vet, Dr. Schultz, came immediately to check on me. He gave me several shots to help boost my immune system and fight the infection. I’ve been resting, drinking water, and staying cool, and I should start feeling better in the next 2–3 days.

Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. Your love truly helps me heal.

Poor Jack isn’t himself today. Our sweet blacknose boy has his head down, not eating, keeping to his little shelter instead of joining the flock. It’s hard seeing him like this, and we’re counting the minutes until Dr. Schultz gets here to check on him.

While he rests, one of the donated solar fans is quietly doing its magic — keeping his space cool, breezy, and comfortable. It’s honestly incredible…
I charge it in the house at night, and it runs all day long. Whoever donated it, you’re helping him more than you know.

Moments like this remind us how much your support matters. You help us keep our animals safe, happy, and cared for — even on the tough days.
