🐴❤️ May is Adopt a Horse Month, and we’re excited to celebrate with an adoption announcement!

Stellar has officially found her forever home! Now known as Lucy, she has been adopted by a wonderful family and is settling into her new life beautifully.

Stories like Lucy’s remind us why rescue matters. Thank you to everyone who supports our rescue and helps make happy endings like this possible.

Holly Ella, Dave, and Terra are all settling into their summer home at Summit Valley Horse Center!

All of us at Troublesome Creek Horse Rescue are incredibly grateful for the continued opportunity to partner with Summit Valley Horse Center and have these amazing rescue horses participate in their summer program as they continue their journey toward finding forever homes ❤️

Meet Amaris ✨
This beautiful dark blue roan mare is the kind of horse that quickly becomes everyone’s favorite. Sweet, engaging, and eager to connect, Amaris loves attention and thrives in a partnership with her people.



The Basics:
• Age: 6
• Breed: Paso Cross Quarter Horse
• Gender: Mare
• Height: 14.2hh



What They Know:
✔️ Broke to ride
✔️ English or western
✔️ Trail riding and arena work
✔️ Comfortable alone or in a herd
✔️ Easy to groom and handle



Personality:
Friendly, outgoing, and affectionate. Amaris is level-headed in new situations and eager to build relationships with both humans and other horses. She absolutely loves attention and happily soaks up grooming and pampering time.



Best Fit For:
Amaris would make a wonderful partner for a smaller adult, teen, or confident young rider looking for a kind and versatile horse to enjoy on the trail or in the arena.



Favorite Things:
• Grooming and pampering
• Making new friends
• Exploring new things
• Attention from her people



A Few Things to Know:
• Amaris is easy to catch, halter, and handle.
• She loves her freedom but enjoys being part of a partnership.
• She has remained calm and level-headed in new situations, including meeting Camille the camel.
• The 9 and 13 year old riders in our barn have been working with Amaris primarily through groundwork and have recently started work under saddle.
• She is thriving under their attention and consistency.
• While she is a Paso cross, Amaris does not gait.

Due to demand, an extra day has been opened for the Kremmling Regional Equine Health Day on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Troublesome Creek Horse Rescue!

There are currently TWO one-hour appointment slots available:

🐴 Morning Availability:
1 hour

🐴 Afternoon Availability:
1 hour

One hour long slot will fit one dental float or multiple vaccines/wellness checks. There will also be acupuncture available!

✨ No farm call fee!

To reserve one of these spots, please call High Country Veterinary Services at (970) 749-1013 as soon as possible. Spots are first come, first served!
