Our non-nose-to-tail trail rides & cattle drives mean guests can enjoy the freedom of navigating their own horse through beautiful aspen groves, wildflower meadows & scenic mountaintops. This small family-run riding outfit delivers an affordable high quality, day time horse activity with a personal, Western touch and has been in business since 2001. Rusty Spurr Ranch is committed to maintaining a close, personal interaction with each and every guest. Riders at Rusty Spurr are treated to an experience they'll never forget with the small group sizes, wonderful horses, and amazing views of the Rocky Mountains. Rusty Spurr Ranch rides are not your typical "nose to tail" trail ride; Guests are encouraged to ride off-trail wherever the terrain permits. Activities include the authentic Cattle Drive which leaves at 9:00am and returns between 12:30 and 1:00 pm. The Cattle Drives are truly a unique experience for someone who wants to try something that involves a little more horse/rider interaction. The nature of this truly western adventure allows riders of all abilities to participate and ride to their individual comfort/ability level. Chasing cows on over 10,000 acres of land is bound to be an experience you won’t soon forget! 1hr Trail Rides are offered at 3pm. 2hr Trail Rides are offered at 10:00 a.m. For Groups/Team building experiences, we offer flexible team building packages to corporate customers, family reunions, and groups both large and small.

The dedicated staff and owners deliver an affordable high quality, day time horse activity with a personal, Western touch. Rusty Spurr is committed to maintaining a close, personal interaction with each and every guest. Guests at Rusty Spurr are treated to an experience they'll never forget. Rusty Spurr rides are not your typical "nose to tail" trail ride. Guests are encouraged to ride next to each other or out and about when the terrain permits. Offerings include: Cattle Drives: leave at 9:00am and return between 12:30 and 1:00 pm for lunch. The Cattle Drives are truly a unique experience for someone who wants to try something that involves a little more horse/rider interaction. The nature of this truly western adventure allows riders of all abilities to participate and ride to their individual comfort/ability level. Chasing cows on over 10,000 acres of land is bound to be an experience you won’t soon forget! 1hr Trail Rides - are offered 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. 2hr Trail Rides - are offered 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. (Some flexibility on departure times) 3hr Trail Rides - are offered 9:30 a.m. Saddle and Paddle – rides leave at 10:00am on a 2hr Trail Ride returning for lunch at 12:00pm. After lunch our guests return to the office to sign in and meet their rafting guide from KODI Rafting for a ½ day float trip down the Colorado River allowing our guests to experience the best of both worlds. Groups/Team building - Looking for a great team building experience? We offer flexible team building packages to corporate customers both large and small. Lunch is also available.
