dog rescue group powered by an ALL-VOLUNTEER staff who are passionate about improving the lives of pets in their community. Our foster families provide homeless, abandoned, or abused pets with the love and training needed to heal their wounds, which allows them to make a successful transition into a new forever home. Our MISSION is to reduce PET ABANDONMENT & OWNER SURRENDERS by holding adoption events, promoting low-cost spay/neuter programs, and by creating a compassionate, well-informed foster-home network. We are committed to creating a compassionate community where stray, abandoned, or neglected animals are non-existent; and where destroying animals is no longer used as a means of population control. Animals that are unwanted, abused, neglected, or ill; we are dedicated to ensuring their life from this point forward is an amazing one. This 501c3 NOT-FOR-PROFIT rescue proudly supports NO-KILL and PRO-SPAY/NEUTER philosophies. We rescue from high kill, overcrowded shelters from all over the country. We vet, transport and foster pets until the perfect match is made between you and one of our adoptable pets!

This tiny little guy is in need of a foster home. He is about seven weeks old. From what we know, he will probably be about 30 pounds full grown. He just received his first round of shots, he has been dewormed, he’s eating like a champ and very playful! He’s doing very well in his crate overnight and is showing positive signs of associating outdoors for potty and 💩

Pals For paws supplies everything that you need for fostering!

This little guy just needs a soft place to land for a couple of weeks until he is ready to move onto his next big adventure!

Meet Freddy.

Freddy is a 5-6 year old beagle who really needs a second chance at life. He spent several months in a foster home with Jay county’s shelter here in Indiana. He was returned at no fault of his own and we took him in to help him get more exposure and hopefully find him hos forever home.

Freddy is starting to feel defeated. Most of his friends have left our care, and he’s still here. Freddy gets along with all dogs and cats. He really is a wonderful boy. If he had one request- it would be for a human or family who are home
More than they’re gone. He loves being with his people.

He does ok in his cage, but he is starting to get frustrated with being in a cage so much. The rescue allows significantly more time out of the cage than an overcrowded shelter, but he wishes he could be out much more!

This is Freddy’s weekend. We can feel it. This is the weekend he finally gets his chance.

These babies have been abandoned at an apartment and the manager is asking us for help. We will need a committed foster home to be able to help them.

They had been abandoned in horrible living conditions, no food or water, and they’re visibly malnourished.

They are very good dogs and very friendly. They were removed from that apartment and they made temporary accommodations for them, but they need to be removed from where they are asap. The manager purchased food, gave them water, and has been walking them every couple of hours since it was discovered.

Meet Barkley!!

Barkley is a 20 # chihuahua mix! He is sweetie who loves his people! Barkley would prefer a human who is home more than they away, although he does fine being left out when home alone! He is perfectly house trained and really all around a good boy. Barkley does great with other dogs and cats!

Update on Gabby!

We adopted the sweetest little puppy just before Thanksgiving. We were still dealing with the loss of our 13 year old boxer mix Marley and were feeling really down and heartbroken. I found Gabby online and right away felt like I had to meet her. She has been the most lovable, playful, smart little lady. She loves her cat sister Mochi, all of her new friends Smitty, Buggsy and Luna, walks in the park and playing tug of war with her toys and she's doing amazing with training and socializing. She's been able to help us heal our broken hearts as much as that is possible. It's been an absolute joy to have her in our lives and I look forward to many many more adventures and memories with her. I hope we can give her the best life just as we did for our late boy.

Acapella is a gorgeous blue girl that came to us as a momma with two babies. She is a confident, curious, and mellow girl. She desperately wanted to explore the room when I was trying to take her photos, and would love a home of her own to explore! Acapella did test positive for FIV, but it doesn’t bother her any! She will just need to continue to get regular annual checkups, and make sure she does not go outside. Acapella has been waiting for a home for 6 months! Please don't make her wait one more day! Sweet little Ginny 🥰

Ginny is a 7-8 year old chihuahua. She is a precious girl who has no idea what happened to the life she used to live. Ginny was at a home with over a dozen small dogs. When her owner fell ill, they were faced with the decision to take them to the shelter. A nearby county shelter reached out for help and between a few different rescues, all of the pups were safe. However, they’re still in need of homes of their own.

Ginny is one of 5 chihs looking for a new home.
They will all have dentals completed by Pals. They’re also spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested and will get the dental cleaning soon!

Ginny is ready to go! She would love a home with another dog companion and a fenced yard as she doesn’t love to be in a leash.
