🐾 FOSTERING SAVES LIVES 🐾

Before applying to foster, please make sure you are ready for the commitment. These dogs rely on stability, patience, and consistency.

What we look for in foster homes:
• Completed application
• Current/past pets up to date on vaccines
• Current/past pets spayed/neutered
• Vet reference
• Reliable communication
• Ability to attend at least 2 adoption events per month
• Ability to transport to vet appointments when needed
• Safe home environment
• Securely fenced yard preferred (exceptions may apply)

Fostering is not always easy, but the reward is helping save a life. ❤️

The following pups are in need of foster placement. Everyone except Baby Girl came from a hoarding case. None are leash or potty trained. Will need time and patience.

Baby Girl is ready for her forever home. Leash and potty trained. Overweight and on a diet. Older girl that just likes sitting on your lap.

Hello everyone! We are still looking for volunteers and fosters for these babies. Kennel clean up and feedings 3 x a day for 14 dogs is a lot to do for one person. I have a few dedicated volunteers trying to come as much as they can. We are still in need of donations to help cover medical costs for these guys. They are all doing so much better and getting healthier every day!

✨️PLEASE READ✨️

Quick update for the adopters waiting to hear back from us. First, thank you for your patience and understanding. ❤️

865 has been in straight up crisis mode after taking in a pretty severe hoarding case, with several of the dogs coming in very sick. Susanne and volunteers have been working around the clock to get everyone stabilized and comfortable. Thankfully, everyone seems to be headed in the right direction and recovering.

We know some of you are waiting on application updates and messages back. We promise nobody is being ignored. Some of the littles are not ready yet and will need more time before they can move forward with adoption.

Please bear with us while we work through what, for us, is a very large intake situation. Applications will be processed in the order they were received.

We are heartbroken and overwhelmed right now at 865 Rescue and Rehome. 💔

We recently took in several very sick dogs who desperately needed help. Since arriving, we have already lost one precious soul despite every effort to save them. Two more are currently in critical condition fighting for their lives, and several others are still very sick and needing intensive veterinary care.

Yesterday, our sweet Buffy (our director’s personal dog) stepped up and gave blood to help save two of these dogs through emergency transfusions. Watching one dog help save another is both beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. 🩸🐾

The vet bills are climbing faster than we can keep up with, but we refuse to give up on them. They deserve every chance possible.

We are asking our village for help. Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward emergency vet care, medications, hospitalization, blood transfusions, and lifesaving treatment for these babies.

Please donate if you can, share this post, and keep these dogs in your prayers. We truly cannot do this without you.
