NO ONE DESERVES IT MORE!

Since 2020, her partnership with us has supported 608 investigations and more than 1,500 charges, including 144 felonies, helping secure justice in some of the region's most serious cruelty cases.

Dr. Morrow assists humane officers in animal cruelty investigations—responding to the scene during search warrants, providing medical care for surviving animals, performing forensic examinations and necropsies, documenting evidence and testifying in court.

The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) today named Dr. Becky L. Morrow, founder and medical director of Frankie’s Friends Humane and a volunteer forensic veterinarian, as the winner of the 2026 AVMA Meritorious Service Award.

He is a great guy and helps on calls. My favorite one with him was taking multiple alligators into custody from a backyard pool and loading them in the back of Jimmy’s truck to transport to a reptile rescue.

We LOVE hearing happy endings from our humane cases! Vortex’s family recently sent us an update on his wonderful life! We found this friendly guy chained to a porch last September.

Our partner shelter, Animal Friends, took him in and found him a wonderful family, as you can see from the photos!

This week we released a snake that had been rehabilitated by our partners the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh Wildlife Center.

The snake had been completely stuck on a glue trap and destined to die a slow agonizing death.

Please consider humane means of resolving wildlife conflicts! Glue traps are not one of them.
