Meet Pain and Panic: your curators of chaos and love. Named after the hench-men from Hercules, these boys were found abandoned in a yard in Brashear and then raised in a foster home since they were two weeks old. They are the perfect brothers, a mixture of cuddly, purry, playful boys.

Pain(orange): Pain is a true orange; he is curious about everything and very playful. He has cuddly moments, but is a really active spirit. He LOVES pompom balls and catnip toys.

Panic(tuxedo): Panic is the snuggler and biggest baby. He actually enjoys being held like a baby! He is also playful, but usually wants someone to start it.

It would be preferred for the boys to be adopted together (kittens do best in pairs)! If they were to be separated, both will need homes with other playful cats. Both have been raised around other mellow, playful adult cats and a medium size low energy dog.

Everyone needs a Ruth in their life. This gal is full of so much personality!
Ruthie lost her human Dad earlier this year. She was loyal and stayed by his side. Her heart was broken and she found herself scared and in a loud shelter.
Ruthie thought she had found her new best friend but after months of having her to herself she moved in with someone…who had a dog. Ruth was not happy having to share her space or affection. Due to the constant separation they brought Ruthie back to the shelter.
Ruthie is staying in the office so she is in a quieter place.
Guys, Ruthie needs the best of the best homes. Perfect for a single couple, no smaller children, no other dogs. She just wants to be the princess she is and have all the attention. She is 💯 housebroken, goes out for potty breaks on leash or without. Car rides is a favorite of hers! She knows her basic commands and will do anything for a cookie.

Everyone meet Mr Leroy. He is a neutered 2 year old boxer/pit mix weighing in around 50lbs and has a heart of gold.

Leroy is one of the goofiest goobers you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. He is phenomenal with kids of all ages and loves love. Not only does his tail wag constantly, so does his little wiggle butt. He adores giving hugs and kisses to anyone who will accept them.

His happiness is infectious, and you can’t help but laugh as he slides off the couch, completely unaware anything is happening. We’ve watched him slide off a couch, land on a person, and fall asleep where he landed 😂 He sleeps in any position, snoring like a freight train. He loves to be held like a baby and sleep curled up in your lap or on your face.

He has done amazingly with other dogs. He’s not aggressive with cats, but does take a couple swats from kitties to realize that cats don’t always want to be friends. He does learn lessons quickly though! 🙂 He’s gone on a couple outings with us and has been great. He is easily redirected, and has picked up quickly that we don’t have to say hi to everyone.

Leroy is completely housebroken. He’s not a huge fan of his crate, but has been doing very well out in the house overnight. He is a bit of a chewer, but very easily redirected to appropriate things. He’s also done very well left out in our (fenced in) back yard 🙂 He is not leash trained, but he’s also not much of a puller and even with just a few sessions has improved greatly!

He does have a bit of puppy energy, but it doesn’t take too long to wear him out and he loves to eat from puzzle toys!

Well folks we have some great news… Howie Howardton has a family. This boy has been at the shelter for 3 years and won over so many hearts. Thank you to everyone who loved him, walked him, gave him treats and to Hound Around Hotel who gave him a super fun staycation. Howie we love you and know you will love your new family

This little guy was left by some neighbors and fortunately there was a good neighbor that took him in. He is a great little guy. Buddy is working hard on housebreaking and loves taking his walks.
He is protective over his food so we will not place him a home with small children.

‼️Our dog intake through the KPD will be on hold due to repairs to our kennels. Once the sealant is dry we will be back open.
