Liberty clinic April 11 9-4.
Kirksville Community Horse Center will be hosting this fabulous clinic, and we wanted everyone to get a chance to attend!
Liberty is a discipline where the horse wears no tack. Nothing to physically attach horse to handler. When the horse does something it's a choice to be with you and let you lead him. Trust is compounded when liberty work becomes a part of your horse/human relationship. There may be a 2nd day if the Saturday fills up, but I recommend contacting them asap as they already had 3 signed up before they even had a date and the limit is 6! If you can't bring a horse, and you want to enrich your equine knowledge base and learn a whole new way to relate to your horse, consider coming to audit. We have really awesome seats in the loft and ground floor, and the arena is indoors, so you won't miss a thing, rain or shine!. Bring a chair, a notebook or phone with a notes app, as you don't want to miss a thing. No video or audio tho, please. Much of what they teach carries through to so many other things. When we work with at risk youth and disabled or fearful riders, liberty work becomes an important tool. We've found it can change your relationship with your horse and people alike. For some it is literally life changing.
The tack shop will be open for those wanting snacks, souvenirs or the tools required to work with your horse.
See you all then!!!
