HUGE THANK YOU to an amazing vet that donated this Sunday to get 15 of our pets spayed and neutered! We had an awesome day working together. Not having a vet on staff has been VERY limiting and set us back quite a bit. We look forward to working out the logistics of getting our clinic back in operation for our community! This is Chase. A good samaritan took Chase in from the streets but he kept escaping their yard to run with another dog. They called for help and ARK answered. A foster stepped up and took him home after a bit of a foot chase, hence his name, Chase. His coat was dull and he was not used to human touch but with a lot of TLC and good food he has become so handsome. He has been with his foster for 4 years and is a completely different dog. He is on the shy side at first but will warm up with patience. He will need some leash training. He uses a doggie door to do his business. Chase happily lives with other foster dogs, large and small. In contrast to the widespread notion that ginger is hot and spicy, this 'Ginger' defies expectations. Her reserved nature conceals a profoundly sweet disposition. Ginger greatly enjoys being perched on laps and indulging in abundant pets and scratches. She aspires to captivate someone special with a single glance into her beautiful eyes, leading to her adoption. She is currently housed at ARK and is available for meetings at any time.

Additional Community Pen Project: ISO of chicken wire.

We are working to set up another community pen in our building to move towards as cage free for our cats as we can be in our space. We have donated panels for a 10’x10’ that will be gtg with a little bit of patching but need enough chicken wire (or similar) and either wire or zip ties to cover the top to enclose it. This will not only be less stressful and healthier for our chunky kitties, it will reduce the cleaning burden on kennel attendants reducing overall labor costs.
