Broc and Joker are here for a couple weeks. They were not getting along with each other at home so we are having them hang out, socialize, and explore together. They seem to be having fun together

So we were asked if we could do some work with a dog who was having some behavioral issues. He was with a foster family while a local rescue looked for a permanent home for him.

When my wife saw him she immediately fell in love with the big lug and decided he was part of our family. Luckily the rescue allowed us to keep him here because by that point my whole family thought he belonged here.

So Porky found a home here with us and we are so glad we found him.

So this week we have a few dogs here with the family. These dogs are are from local rescues and we are working to get them ready to be adopted. We give them lots of good experiences with other dogs, humans, little humans and a variety of animals. They learn to trust and respect humans, appropriately interact with other dogs and feel safe for a while.

Some pictures hanging out with dogs Bubba the bulldog, Meech the Dutch Shepherd, and Gino the Malinois. Dutchies and Mals are big goofs, I don’t understand why people like to emphasize how scary and serious they are. These two are as high drive as you will find and they are just plain silly.

Apollo and Diana are here for a bit. We took them on a little field trip to the beach. Great day but kind of cold and stormy.

So our little puppy decided he wanted to bring the bully board and train back home. It is very cool to see the puppy figuring out how to get this done. To me, it is also great to see Zeus, who pulled like a truck when he got here, yielding to what the puppy wants. This is a great example of dogs problem solving and learning on their own.

The kids and some pups help show Zeus how to walk off leash. Teaching a reliable come and out command is easier with everyone helping out.

Last week we had Marshall here. He came here to work on some manners so that he could be safely transported to his new home in the Pacific Northwest.

He was a ton of fun and he is ready for his big move
