Hi everyone!
With the extreme heat approaching, I would like to share some essential tips to ensure the safety and comfort of your beloved pets. Please note that due to the high temperatures, our walks will be shortened to prevent overheating and protect your dogโ€™s paws from hot surfaces. It is not safe for our furry friends to be outdoors for more than 15 minutes during peak heat.

Here are some helpful tips to keep your pet cool this summer:

Cooling Mats: Soak an old towel, place it in the fridge, and use it as a cooling mat for your pet.

Frozen Treats: Frozen berries and ice cubes can be excellent ways to keep your pets hydrated and cool.

Optimal Walking Times: Early morning or late afternoon walks are ideal to avoid excessive heat. If walking in sunny areas, seek out shaded spots to ensure comfort.

Continuous Monitoring: Always keep an eye on your pet to ensure they remain comfortable and safe during walks.

Also, I am excited to announce that I will be offering dog ice cream this summer! Please comment below if this is something your pup would enjoy, and share your flavor suggestions.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the well being of our furry friends this summer! โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿค

Hi everyone, just a reminder for the hot weather ahead of us to keep our pets safely hydrated and cool! โ˜€๏ธ

Here are some tips for keeping pets hydrated and cool during hot weather:

1. Provide plenty of fresh water: Make sure your pets have access to clean and fresh water throughout the day. Keep their water bowls filled and check them regularly to ensure they don't run out.

2. Create shaded areas: Set up shaded areas in your yard or on your patio where your pets can rest and escape from direct sunlight. You can use umbrellas, canopies, or even create a sheltered space with a tarp or sheet.

3. Avoid hot surfaces: Keep your pets off hot surfaces like asphalt or concrete, as these can quickly heat up and burn their paws. Opt for grassy areas or use pet-friendly paw protection booties.

4. Limit outdoor activities: During the hottest parts of the day, it's best to limit your pet's outdoor activities. Instead, take them for walks or playtime early in the morning or late in the evening when it's cooler.

5. Provide cooling options: Offer your pets cooling options such as a shallow pool or sprinklers for them to play in. You can also provide them with a wet towel or cooling mat to lie on.

6. Never leave pets in a parked car: It's crucial never to leave your pets in a parked car, even for a short period. The temperature inside a car can quickly rise to dangerous levels, leading to heatstroke or even death.

7. Watch for signs of overheating: Be vigilant for signs of overheating in your pets, which include excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, or difficulty breathing. If you notice any of these signs, move your pet to a cool area and contact a veterinarian immediately.

Remember, keeping your pets hydrated and cool is essential to their well-being during hot weather.๐Ÿพ
