Chianti has a very sad story. She came into our rescue after her own passed away. Chianti and her son, Frankie were bonded and left to themselves in the home for months before we received them. Unfortunately, shortly after being surrendered into our care, Frankie stopped eating, went into jaundice, and passed away from a broken heart, leaving Chianti alone. It was truly a heart breaking situation and Chianti is now in a loving foster home but we would really like to get her settled into a forever home. She's been through so much and is a little bit jumpy and spooked easily but she purrs constantly and does receive pets and enjoys them. It's just the initiation of it that intimidates her a bit. This sweet girl is estimated to be 10 years old and she deserves the world.
She does have some scarring on her left eye that makes it appear cloudy but the vet told us it was nothing to worry about. She has recently been updated on all shots and comes fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated.
She does fine with other cats but has been pretty reserved since her son's passing. We would love for her to have someone who can love her gently and with patience in a home where she may never experience loss again. Good with dogs as well but would probably prefer to only live with one with a laid back spirit.
