We haven't visited with Cappy recently. Today, Andy and I decided it was time to let him have a few months off....to grow. He will not be 4 yrs until September. He has already done a lot of young horse things: started undersaddle by Clasing Equestrian (see videos earlier in year) and continued with Stephanie doing a few outings off MNF ( Ewbank, Windchase Eventing, Loch Moy).

This video was taken today, Stephanie was riding Valor (1/2 brother) and he was jealous and elected to show his disappointment by looping the paddock (just like his dam - Domestique). Valor also is a paddock looper! Runs in the family.

He looks pretty fit! 😎

Rust went to his first full horse trial (non recognized) last weekend with Kaitlin and Dan Clasing at Loch Moy Farm. The weather left much to be desired but the classy young horses made the day bright with everyone smiling throughout the day.

Rust had a very workman-like dressage test scoring 33.5, one rail in show jump (green mistake) and clear XC (need to work on the water, not part of the test). He finished on a score of 37.5 for third and we are so proud of him! He was very laid back throughout all the new experiences and busy atmosphere. 😎

This weekend Rust is headed to his first recognized event at MCTA. The goal is to participate in his first young horse event at the end of June. Enjoy the videos taken by Tracey McGraph. 🤩

May Madness - too busy to post! What an amazing month, we've had a bit of everything. Valor completed Waredeca on his dressage score for 2nd in Training. Following Valor's dressage Andy and I ran into a former homebred "Imperial Jaguar" (aka. Jasper) and his newish owner (to us) causing a positive stir on the Randolph Macon Eventing Team. For the rest of the stories....please tune in to the pictures. Thanks. 😁💖💖💖

Very excited to report Rust Never Sleeps did his first outing undersaddle at the Loch Moy Pick Your Test show yesterday under the expert guidance of Dan Clasing. What good brain on this baby despite a bit of anxiety on the trailer ride, he came off and went right to work. Putting in a lovely beginner novice test and scoring 71+ percent. Our plan is for Dan to compete Rust in the YEH and 4yr old Futurity in 2026.

We are off to promising start! 🦄 🥰 Big thank you to Dan, Kaitlin, and Katie for taking care of our boy!

Before the snow. Another milestone for Cappy! He is learning to jump! Thank you Dan and Kaitlin for working with this young horse. Thank you Katie for taking such good care of my boys. Enjoy!

I especially like Dan's attempt to matchy-match Cappy's butt pattern with his jacket!

Clasing Equestrian shared an update on Cappy, now six weeks under saddle and responding incredibly well to his lessons with Dan and Kaitlin. Our plan is to bring him home in a few weeks, as he turned 3 in September and has a bit more growing to do.
We also think his 1/2 brother Valor will be thrilled to see him, Valor has been pretty lonely without Cappy and Rust.

He looks so good!

Stephanie took Valor to the Windchase Jump Clinic on Sunday! I always love going to these clinics of Phyllis' because she sets such good gymnastic exercises for the horses. Good for the horses, the riders and those of us which live vicariously through others...lol. 😉 🤣

Our horse of a different color! Three weeks undersaddle with Clasing Equestrian and learning how to work for living! Capstone NA (Cappy) is our late born baby turning three in September, he still has some growing to do but the time has come for the next phase of his learning. Enjoy the pre-Christmas videos from December 21st. 🦄🦄

Rust has had the month of December off after 4 months of being started by Dan Clasing. Back in work in January 2026 we thought we post some of the lovely flat work from November 11th. We are really please with how his training progressed at Clasing Equestrian. So much so, we shipped off Capstone NA (Cappy) in December to start his undersaddle training. Enjoy our 🦄.
