🎃👻 TRICKS, TREATS & A VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER! 🐾

Kicker the Pup-kin is here to remind everyone that Halloween fun should be SAFE for our four-legged family members, too! 🧡

A few spooky season safety tips: 🐾 Keep candy, especially chocolate and anything containing xylitol, far away from pets. 🐾 Keep glow sticks, wrappers, and Halloween decorations out of curious mouths. 🐾 Make sure pets are secure when opening the door for trick-or-treaters. Even the friendliest pets can get spooked! 🐾 Keep pets away from lit candles and jack-o'-lanterns. 🐾 Make sure your pets have proper ID tags and microchips in case they sneak out. 🐾 If your pet is uncomfortable with costumes, don't force it. Their comfort comes first!

And please remember: Halloween candy is for humans, not hounds! 🍬🚫🐶

Let's keep tails wagging, whiskers twitching, and everyone safe this Halloween!

Meet Milk Dud! 🧡

Milk Dud is a 3-month-old gray kitten who may be the tiniest of his litter, but he has personality to spare! He’s the brave little explorer of the bunch, always curious about what’s happening and ready to investigate something new.

Milk Dud is also a cuddly guy who happily lets his people pick him up and soak up some affection. With his confidence, curiosity, and sweet nature, he’s a fun little companion who’s ready for his next adventure. Milk Dud is good with other cats as well as respectful dogs.

**ADORABLE ADOPTABLE OF THE DAY!!**

Meet Cap'n – A Loyal, Smart, and Striking Companion! 💙

Cap’n is a stunning 5-year-old cattle dog mix with a heart full of love. Weighing in at 75 pounds, he’s a smart and spirited boy who’s ready to find his next adventure with an active, experienced family.

Cap’n came to us after his beloved owner passed away, and now he’s looking for a new home where he can thrive. He’s already house-trained, crate-trained, rides well in the car, and walks beautifully on a leash. True to his breed, Cap’n loves to stay active and is happiest when he has a job to do or something new to learn—but don’t worry, he’s just as happy curling up for a good snuggle after a day of fun.

He’d make a fantastic running partner or hiking buddy. Because of his size and energy level, we’re recommending a home with a fenced yard, no small children, and no cats.

Cap’n has been working hard in a board-and-train program with Midas Touch Dog Training. Like many cattle dogs, he can be protective when meeting new people. His trainer, James, will provide detailed guidance to ensure a smooth transition into his forever home. Cap’n may also try to “herd” other dogs—a common trait for his breed—so he would do best as either the only dog or with a calm, easygoing canine companion.

Cap’n’s trainers adore him and know he has so much love to give the right family. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, and active dog with tons of personality, Cap’n might just be your perfect match!
