✨We have an exciting announcement! ✨
We would like to introduce you to our new Veterinarian, Dr. Elyse Underberg! She will be starting with us in early September.

Dr. Elyse Underberg and her husband Kolton moved to the Flathead valley from Iowa. They got married in Glacier park spring of 2024 and knew they wanted to call this area their home. Today we had to say goodbye to our beloved clinic hamster, Cheech. Our favorite thing to tell clients was how she lost her eye, in a bar fight (you should see the other hamster)😉. We had a great year with her, and miss her already. 🐹

Wishing everyone a safe and fun 4th of July weekend! Here are some easy tips to help keep your pets calm and safe this holiday. If you have any emergencies, please give The Flathead Pet Emergency Clinic a call at 406-257-6870. Or you can reach The Pet Emergency Center in Missoula at 406-829-9300.

Keep pets indoors:
This is the most crucial step. Loud noises and flashing lights from fireworks can easily frighten pets, causing them to bolt or hide.
Create a safe space:
Designate a quiet, comfortable area inside where your pet can retreat. This could be a crate, a room with a familiar bed and toys, or a basement.
Provide distractions:
Play calming music, turn on the TV, or use a white noise machine to help mask the sounds of fireworks.
Identification and Supervision:
Make sure your pet has a collar with up-to-date ID tags and consider getting them microchipped for added security.
Avoid bringing pets to fireworks:
Fireworks displays are often overwhelming and stressful for pets, even if they seem to enjoy being outside.
Never leave pets unsupervised:
If you're having a party or gathering, keep pets in a secure area to prevent escapes.
