Mischievous Canine?
What can you do?

Regular exercise: Outside time playing ball, jogging with your pet, engage them in regular activities will not only get them fit, but reduce boredom.

Mental Stimulation: Give them a task! Training and interactive toys are great stuff to help your pup engage in less destructive activities.
Training:

Repetitive training. Practice Recalls. Practice command words: No, Drop. Good Boy/Girl, etc. Positive reinforcements.

Behavior issues can occur for many reasons,
it can be health issues, breed related, lack of
activity or stimulation, poor socialization, separation anxiety, or fear.

If you think the behavior issues are health related,
please call and schedule a visit with your vet.
Our pets deserve the best, and having annual exams often can also
help us catch health related issues early.

Feline Fun:
A happy kitty looks like this.
He's a good boy and tried to be a real gentleman at the vet. He questioned it a bit when it came to his mouth, he thought about naughty man behavior and didn't want his teeth looked at.

Then he got a room of "no" and he relaxed his mittens and said ok Dr. thank you, are we done yet, are my teeth not pretty?

Do you seeworms in your canines f***l or vomit?
What to expect, a visit with the f***l sample.
A common one is roundworms.

How can your dog get infected with roundworms?
Round worm eggs can be found in soil,
in your outdoorenvironment.
Dogs ingest and get infected
through normal self-grooming.
It can also come from ingestion of a dead animal, for instance a rodent that is carrying worms in the development stage.
It can also occur during pregnancy of an infected mother dog, (in embryonic development) and infect the unborn puppies.
Nursing from an infected mother can also transmit round worms.

What do Roundworms look like?
Long, white, tan, several inch long spaghetti like worms.

What are common symptoms in canines that have roundworms?
At times no symptoms show, but other symptoms
seen are visible worms in stool or in vomit. Extended stomach, among other signs.

An update on our little Fergus (aka Turd Ferguson, the Fergs, Fergalicious) - our little foster kitten has had some improvements but is also still having some struggles. He's growing, eating, and poops in the litter box sometimes. However, he's still having issues defecating normally (he leaks poo and sometimes strains to go). He's had bloodwork, x-rays, ultrasound, and we've been trying various different medications and diets and probiotics to try to get him "normalized". We are still hopeful we can find a solution or that he will "grow into" his guts at some point! In the meantime, he has to be confined to our bathroom or chased around with a b***y towel in case he makes a mess.
As you can see, he seems to be enjoying life in spite of his poo problems. And yes, that's Nala he's cuddling with - we were never able to find her a home so she seems to be staying at ours! And she seems to be over her kitty issues and loves the little Fergs.

This sweet pup is Saquon Barkley. What a cutie pie!
This pup is a Yorkshire Terrier, and a perfect one at that.

Yorkies exhibits all the traits of a true terrier. Most Yorkshire Terrier's have imbedded bravery and are a bit sassy/bossy. They are great watchdogs.

Yorkies typically are cuddle bugs, often affectionate with family and strangers, although each dog has its individual traits. They love being doted on! Give them all the love, and early socialization you can as a puppy, to get the perfect little companion later in life.

The Feline Leukemia Vaccine (FeLV) helps protect cats
from the infections with the virus. The feline leukemia virus is a very common infection in cats, often fatal.

Who's at risk?
Kittens and cats that have close social
contact with each other.
Outside cats are at higher risks.

The feline leukemia virus can cause serious health issues,
like immune suppression, anemia, neurological issues and cancer to name a few.

The virus is spread through saliva, blood, urine, f***s, nasal secretions and an infected mothers milk.

This virus is ultimately fatal to the unvaccinated cat.
On average 85% of infected cats do not survive.
Most cats usually die within 3 years of having this virus.

Call your vet today to discuss if the leukemia vaccine might be ideal for your cat. If you do decide to protect your cat from this virus, the first vaccination needs to have a booster in 3-4 weeks.
