🖤 Nyxie is wondering if senior black cats ever get adopted…
She watches families come and go.
She sees kittens leave for their new homes.
She watches carriers close, adoption papers get signed, and happy photos being taken.
And sometimes she wonders…
“What about me?”
Am I too old?
Too black?
Have I been waiting too long?
But here’s what Nyxie doesn’t know:
Somewhere, there’s a family that doesn’t know her name yet.
They don’t know about her gentle purrs.
They don’t know how she quietly sits beside you when you’ve had a hard day.
They don’t know that she’s been saving all of her love for them.
One day, someone will walk through that door and see what we’ve always seen.
Not a senior cat.
Not a black cat.
Their cat.
And on that day, all the waiting, all the wondering, and all the lonely nights will finally make sense.
Because Nyxie isn’t waiting for just any home.
She’s waiting for her home. 🏡❤️
And when that family finds her, they’ll wonder how they ever lived without her.
