💙 Final Diagnosis & FIP Information

Last update:
Over the past week, we shared Blu’s vet bills and every update we had as we tried to understand what was happening to her. None of us were prepared for how suddenly she left us, and finding the answers after her passing has been both heartbreaking and important for our healing.

We now know that Blu had FIP, and while this doesn’t change the pain of losing her, it does finally give us clarity. Her story is already inspiring something bigger: we are beginning a community program focused on FIP education, early warning signs, and how to catch it sooner, so other families and rescues don’t face the same painful uncertainty.

More information will be shared soon, and we hope Blu’s journey will help protect many more kittens in the future.

Help Save Kittens on Molokaʻi 🐾

Did you know that Molokaʻi, Hawaii, has only one kitten and cat rescue on the entire island?

Rescue Kitties of Hawai’i is their sole lifeline, but without the proper equipment, many fragile newborn kittens don’t make it.

On September 2, 2025, our team from Maui Cat Rescue had the privilege of visiting Maraya and her amazing crew at Rescue Kitties of Hawai’i. They welcomed us into their foster home, gave us a tour, and even let us help feed their tiny bottle babies. It was impossible not to be moved by the love and dedication they pour into these little lives every single day. But we also saw something urgent: they desperately need an incubator to save even more kittens.

Maui Cat Rescue is raising funds to buy and donate an incubator to Rescue Kitties of Hawai’i. With this critical piece of equipment, they can ensure these newborns get the warmth and care they need to grow strong and healthy.

Last year, we donated an incubator to Honi Honi Cat Rescue on Maui—and it has already saved countless tiny lives. Now, it’s Moloka’i’s turn.

🌺 Three Senior Cats need your help. 🌺

We’re sharing a story that touched all of our hearts here at Maui Cat Rescue. 💛

A loving woman on Maui recently passed away, leaving behind her three cherished cats — and in her will, she made one heartfelt request:
that they find loving forever homes, not a shelter. 🐾

Her dear friend has been doing everything possible — posting, visiting vets, and spreading the word — but finding homes for senior cats can be so hard. So our Maui Cat Rescue ‘ohana is stepping in to help make her final wish come true. 🌈

✨ Meet the Cats:
🐱 Fisher — 15 years old, a graceful tabby girl with the most beautiful, soulful eyes. She loves calm spaces, gentle voices, and cozy naps in sunny spots. She would thrive in a quiet, peaceful home.

🧡 Amy — 10 years old, a sweet female who loves to spend most of her time under the bed.

🧡 Rory — 10 years old, Amy’s orange brother, curious, confident, and full of love.
Amy and Rory can be adopted together or separately — they’re both healthy, social, and well-mannered.

✈️ Here’s the special part:
We can personally es**rt Fisher, Amy, and Rory from Maui to Las Vegas on November 3, if we find their perfect forever homes in Las Vegas area.

This isn’t just a rehoming — it’s a chance to honor a woman’s love and ensure her cats continue their lives surrounded by care, comfort, and kindness. 💕

ALOHA EVERYONE! LISTEN UP!

BIG SHOUT OUT + SUPPORT POST FOR FLY HAWAII CATS! ✈😻

So....we just did the most amazing collab ever - a friend of a friend in San Diego was looking for a sweet black cat from Maui, so we connected with local independent cat foster mom Ulli who was looking for a home for her foster cat, Black Beauty.

Photos and descriptions were sent - and it was a match made in heaven! 💞But how do we get this gorgeous black kitty cat from Maui to San Diego?

Well, my friends over at Kitty Charm Farm + Maui Cat Rescue created this AMAZING program that allows volunteer flyers to bring cats to their adopters.

And that's just what happened on October 4th, and Black Beauty is living the sweet life in her new loving home. We'll share her whole story soon 🖤

In the meantime, why not sign up just like a couple of compassionate vacationers did? They saved a life and had fun doing it. It's a wonderful way to give back and to make adoption dreams come true!
