Day #1. We are so happy for GOOD NEIGHBORS!! All this delicious fruit came from our neighbors at Luper Orchard. They do have A LOT of fruit available. *** Contact Krista at 801-425-8443 if interested in purchasing some peaches or plums $2 per lb.*** The fruit is delicious!

This last Saturday our oldest son, Lukas, married his love - BreAnna.❤️ This spring Lukas also became a beekeeper. When he started with bees he learned about an old tradition in rural Ireland, England and parts of Europe where important life events...like a wedding...were shared with the bees. We decided this was something fun we should do with his upcoming nuptials.
In folklore, bees were considered highly sensitive and intelligent creatures that were deeply tied to the household they served. If important life events weren’t shared with the bees—such as births, or marriages—they might stop producing honey, leave the hive, or even die.
Apparently telling the bees and even sharing a piece of wedding cake is a traditional activity. So.... today the bees learned of this sweet young lady who has joined our family......and got to try their wedding cake. 🍰 We couldn't be happier for this cute couple! And the bees seem kinda happy about that cake ;)

We are very proud of these 2 young ladies showing does from our farm at the Ozark Fair. They did an excellent job presenting them and placed very well. Way to go Opal Joy and Naomi!

Crazy kids! Logan and Paul taking a dip in a stock tank. There were 8 bags of ice in there and our well water is ice cold already.

Another hatch of chicks! These are about half farmyard laying breed mix. The other half is mix Millie Fleur, Blue Cochin and frizzles. . Just for fun ;)

We cleaned our hens house after the last bird left to get ready for this new group.🐔 We have not weeded out the roosters yet. Plans are to keep 1 rooster only....we try to find one who has a nice temperament.🐓 A$$holes need not apply. 🤣
This is a mix of several breeds, Calico, black copper marans, silverrud and Blue laced red Wyandotte. So we should have a fun mix and a variety of egg colors. They seem to be liking the new digs ;)

Meet "Ethel", who will have registered name of "3KF Don't look Ethel!" (If you know you know😉) She is the gilt we plan to retain from recent litter from "2N4 All Gussied Up" (Gussie) and K5 Hamish. We think she's shaping up to be a fancy lil Kune gilt!
