❤️ Yesterday, 200 Dogs Have a Better Chance Because of You ❤️
It’s hard to put into words what today meant to us.
When we first started hosting low-cost vaccine clinics, we hoped we could make a difference for a few families and a few dogs. Today, we watched that dream grow into something so much bigger.
Over 200 dogs received the vaccines they need to stay healthy, protected, and by their families’ sides. That’s over 200 dogs who are safer from preventable diseases. Over 200 families who were able to access affordable veterinary care. Over 200 opportunities to keep beloved pets where they belong—at home, loved and cared for.
As we looked out at the line of cars, the smiling faces, and the dogs eagerly hanging their heads out of windows, we were reminded of something important:
No shelter, no veterinary clinic, and no organization can do this alone.
It takes a community.
To every volunteer who signed up weeks ago, thank you. To every volunteer who saw the crowd, saw the need, and simply jumped in to help, thank you. You gave your time, your energy, and your hearts today. You helped keep things moving, kept spirits high, and ensured that every person who came through felt welcomed and cared for.
A very special thank you goes to Anne Elise from Valley View Veterinary Clinic. While many people were enjoying their Saturday, Anne chose to spend hers serving our community. She generously donated her time and expertise to provide rabies vaccinations for hundreds of dogs. Her compassion and dedication helped make this event possible, and we are so incredibly grateful.
And to Con Paulos Chevrolet—thank you will never feel like enough. Your sponsorship wasn’t just a donation to an event. It was an investment in the health and well-being of hundreds of dogs throughout our community. Because of your generosity, families were able to access affordable veterinary care, and pets received protection they might not otherwise have had.
Yesterday wasn’t about numbers.
It wasn’t about how many vaccines were given or how many cars came through the line.
It was about a community that showed up for its animals.
It was about people choosing kindness.
It was about neighbors helping neighbors.
It was about making sure that someone’s best friend gets another healthy year chasing balls, riding in trucks, sleeping on couches, and greeting their family at the door.
To everyone who volunteered, donated, attended, shared our posts, sponsored this event, or simply cheered us on—thank you.
This event reminded us why we do what we do.
And yesterday reminded us that when a community comes together, incredible things happen.
❤️ From all of us at the City of Jerome Animal Shelter, thank you for helping us protect the dogs we all love
Help came from many departments within the City of Jerome as well. City of Jerome Police Department, City of Jerome Fire Department, City of Jerome Information Technology Department and City of Jerome Administrative Department. There is nothing like the support we received across departments that all aim to serve our community.
