Okay so my ADHD brain decided to clean the rabbits and add animals to the butcher list instead of getting pictures of the new arrivals 🤣. Tomorrow hopefully will be the day unless I get distracted again.

This beautiful gal did in fact hitch a hit with us back to Idaho from Washington. Clifner Livestock is asking $1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ for her. She does come with a pedigree. If you need more information or pictures please shoot me a message since I have her in my rabbitry. Someone please pick her up before I decide she has to stay with me 😂.

I want to talk about some etiquette that some new comers or even seasoned rabbitry owners we all need to take some measure of respect in.

Some of us dont know better, some don’t care, some respect the expectations we as breeders hope for. I know I didn’t know better once, and was politely corrected, I never forgot the reminder and appreciated the learning experience.

If you are afforded the opportunity to have another rabbitries animals, respect the owner and the rabbit as it comes. We as breeders raise and name them, if you prefer something different, always label them as they came and you barn name in quotes. For an example, If I received a rabbit with only a tattoo of letters and numbers , or even words and preferred a different name, this how to show your respect to a breeder

Some Rabbitry’s A1B2C3 Fred “Chunky Boi”

The rabbitry, tattoo, If they already have a name and then your barn name, in quotes

This shows respect, this shows you are grateful, this shows you are willing to give credit where credit is due. There was a specific post I saw that really motivated me to say something. We are afforded this platform, I have earned my place slowly, like all the breeders that have helped me get here, I would hope another breeder would always share my hard work and care before their vanity.

Be better to each other and always share hard work where hard work is due! We are a community, be good to one another. Thanks for coming to my ted talk 😄

UPDATE: She did infact end up hitching a ride with us and is on her way to Jerome, Idaho.

Transport from Loon Lake, WA to southern Idaho Jerome area. Clifner Livestock is asking $1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ for this beautiful blue doe. I’m asking $2️⃣0️⃣ for transport fees. Share away we leave tomorrow morning to head home. Sorry for the late decision posting. We were busy bunny shuffling.the

Coccidia vs. Weaning Enteritis: Not
the Same Thing

It's easy to confuse the two, both can cause diarrhea, weakness, and rapid decline in young rabbits. But they're not interchangeable.

Here's the breakdown.

Coccidiosis
Coccidia is a Protozoa (Eimeria spp.).
Transmission is through the f***l oral route. Coccidia targets the intestines or liver. It is common in recently weaned kits, especially in crowded or unsanitary conditions.

Symptoms:
* Watery or diarrhea (sometimes with blood)
* Lethargy, weight loss, dehydration
* May be subclinical in adults
Diagnosis: F***l float or smear
Treatment: Toltrazuril
Note: Diet can support recovery but won't eliminate protozoa

Weaning Enteritis
Bacterial overgrowth (often Clostridium spiroforme). Dietary shift during weaning is the most common cause, though overcrowding or stress can trigger it. Weaning enteritis is common in kits 3-10 weeks old, especially upon starting pellets or on pellet heavy diets.

Symptoms:
* Mushy or watery diarrhea
* Bloating, hunched posture
* Sudden death within 24-72 hours
Diagnosis: Clinical signs + f***l testing
Treatment: Hydration, probiotics, fiber rich diet
Note: Prevention hinges on slow weaning, high fiber diet, and stress reduction

Treating coccidiosis with probiotics alone won't work. Treating enteritis with toltrazuril won't help. A f***l test is your best friend, it tells you what you're fighting so you can treat it effectively.

Needless to say I’m excited to have some baby rabbits bouncing around is an understatement. We hopefully have every single one of our breeding does bred. Now we are just crossing our fingers that they took and that the weather isn’t too harsh on them.
