Buddy came to us back in November/December 2025 from another ND rescue after his owner passed away. He was found in the home with his deceased owner and 2 other dogs. After this traumatic experience, Buddy continued being his happy-go-lucky self! While he’s not fond of dogs his size or bigger, he loves dogs smaller than him and every human he meets! Today, Buddy finally found his forever home - he was READY to get the heck out of the shelter!

Congratulations, Buddy Boy! We will miss your goofiness - love your best life, sweet boy! 🐶❤️

Zodiac puppy #3 went to his new home this evening - the first of the two boys!

Mr. Leo had A LOT of interest in him, and are you surprised? Him and his sister, Virgo, are the most unique-looking out of the litter! Leo is the actual baby of the litter - he cries and cries for attention until his caretakers pick him up for a cuddle. As sad as it is to see him leave us, we are so happy to know that he will be thrilled to have a couple of teenagers to chase around and make them carry him everywhere!

Congratulations, little Leo! We will see you again soon, little guy - live your best life with your new loving family! 🐶❤️

Our 2nd Zodiac puppy is out the door - this time it’s the runt’s turn, Ta**us!

All of the puppy’s from this litter will be hard ones for us to say “see you later” to because of all of the extra time and effort put in to caring for them (bottle feeding a litter of 12 is NO joke 😅), but in the best possible way!

Little Ta**us is the runt of the litter, and one we often had to pay extra attention to when feeding and weighing her every day to make sure she was getting enough - some of her siblings used to be twice the size of her! Her new family originally applied for Zadie, the mother of the Zodiac litter, but there was application put in just before theirs. Ta**us had lots of visits from her new family, and tonight, she finally was able to go home with them!

Congratulations, little Tauri! We will see you again soon - live your best life with your new loving family, sweet girl! 🐶💕

The first of the Zodiac puppies, Sagittarius, has left the building!

Very bittersweet moment - we cared very carefully for these little ones and bottle fed them for several days while their momma wasn’t producing milk - we even had 2 staff stay the night at the shelter to make sure the babies were fed every 2-3 hours! Even when momma was producing milk, she wasn’t making enough for all of them, so we had to supplement by bottle feeding still until she was. And then, because there were so many of them, we had to often supervise to make sure all pups were getting enough nursing time. These babies know nothing but love from us at the shelter and their momma, and we are thrilled to start sending them home to as equally as loving families! So happy and proud of these little ones - we can’t wait to see them again in the near future to see how they’ve grown!

Congratulations, baby Sag (now Lainey)! We will see you soon, but in the meantime, live your best life with your new family that already loves you so much! 🐶💕

Týr came to us from a unique and very unfortunate situation back in August 2025. After receiving a call about Týr and the dangerous living conditions he and the person/other dog in the home were in, one of our dog managers and a board member/volunteer drove out and picked Týr up. Poor Týr was so scared. We got him settled in for the night, and the next morning, staff went in with a bunch of treats and just sat in the room with him and let him come to us - he literally crawled into our laps and gave us kisses! We found that he really is just a big baby that needed time to learn that not everyone is scary/mean. Poor Týr is still standoffish with strangers, but when he meets new people when people he already knows and trusts are present, he does great. Týr has really bonded to one of our volunteers, and tonight, it’s official - Týr got his forever home!

Congratulations, Týr-ie Baby! We will miss seeing your big grins and you bringing toys to the front of your kennel to greet us - live your best life, handsome boy! 🐶❤️

This handsome boy is looking for a loving forever home! “Buddy is a very friendly lab mix that does great with everyone he meets, including adults, children, and other dogs (not sure about cats, though - he hasn’t met any). He is ~5 months old, not neutered and will need to be updated on vaccinations.” His current owner reports that he is both p*e pad trained and will also go potty outside.

If you are interested in Buddy, please contact Jacob at (701) 368-1913.

*Please note that courtesy posts are posts we make to help owners rehome their pets when we are full at the shelter. Please contact the owner at the phone number listed above with any questions! 🐶

COURTESY POST:

Willow is a beautiful, very friendly female Pitbull mix looking for a loving family to give her her forever home. “I got her spayed in October of last year and the vet figured she was about 2 years old. She got all her shots done then too. Her personality is very loving. She wants all my attention. She's good with children and other animals, but I'm not sure she's been around a cat.. I got her last year at the end of July. She was a rescue and I thought she would fit well with me, but she seems to blossom more when she’s around more people - she would do great with a family with kids to keep her busy! I just realized she just needs to be around more people (family) and other dogs.”

If you are interested in Willow or have any questions, please message us and we will get you in contact with Willow’s owner!
