Friendly reminder that if your pet has not been treated for fleas and has them, I will have to send them home and reschedule any following appointments.
Our standard procedure is to bomb to prevent spreading these little critters.
Please keep a look out for these basic symptoms before choosing to not treat and groom!
Excessive Itching and Scratching:
This is the most prominent symptom as fleas bite and irritate the skin.
Redness and Irritation:
Flea bites can cause red, raised bumps or patches on the skin, especially on the belly, groin, and base of the tail.
Hot Spots:
Areas of intense itching can develop into hot spots, which are open sores or crusty patches.
Hair Loss:
Fleas can cause hair loss, particularly in areas where they are biting frequently.
Flea Dirt:
Tiny, black specks of flea f***s (excrement) can be seen in the fur or on bedding.
Visible Fleas:
In some cases, you may be able to see adult fleas moving on the dog's skin.
Thank you for your time!
