Emotional support octopus on duty! 🤍🐙

🐾 These puppies are loving this perfect plush WAY more than I thought they would—and it’s giving us all the benefits we hoped for! 🤍

After they finish all their wobbling, climbing and exploring, they’re always ready for a little rest. 💤 Since their ears are now open and they can hear, we’re using this calm time to begin sound acclimation! 🔊

Sound acclimation starts young! 🐾

Introducing puppies to everyday sounds—vacuums, doorbells, music, traffic, kids, and household noises—helps build confidence and resilience. Early, positive exposure teaches them that new or unexpected sounds are no big deal, helping create calmer, more adaptable pups as they grow. 🤍🐶

Little sounds now = BIG confidence later!

Say hello to our not so little friend!! 🐙🐾This eight legged octopus plush serves as a safe, age appropriate enrichment. By giving the puppies soft obstacles to interact with , we are helping them develop muscle tone while they’re young.
This is important because their bodies and nervous systems are developing incredibly fast!!

Gentle, age-appropriate movement helps puppies:

👏🏽Build core and leg strength needed for standing, walking and eventually running and playing.
👌🏽Improve balance and coordination as their brain learns how to control their body.
🤜🏽Strengthen joints and supporting muscles, creating a good foundation for healthy movement.
👋🏽Develop body awareness—learning where their feet and body are in space.
🤟🏽Build confidence as they learn to navigate different positions and surfaces.

🐙Simply allowing them to crawl, stretch, reposition themselves, and navigate safe little obstacles or different textures as they mature gives their muscles appropriate work.🙌🏼

Puppies instinctually don’t want to potty where they sleep. Now that these babies are old enough to move around, we’re already seeing that instinct kick in! 🥹

When they wake up from a nap, they move away from their sleeping area to potty, so we’ve added a designated potty pad. And this is where potty training begins! We will continue this process through the eight weeks, always giving them a designated area to use the bathroom while inside , and also taking them outside. 🐾

A little trick I use is keeping their heating pad on the clean side. They stay there to sleep, then move away when they wake up to potty. It works wonderfully, and we’re already seeing it in action. So smart , So proud! 💩🤍💦

Finally old enough for a Bath Day!!! 🫧Do they need it, kinda..😝Sweet Pea is not too fond of cleaning up 💩..so we jump in to help and the entire experience offers so much more than just cleanliness.

* 🛁 Introduces water and bathing early, so baths are less scary later.
* 🐾 Gets them used to being handled all over—the paws, ears, face, belly, and tail.
* 💨 Introduces new sensations like warm water, wet fur, towels, and eventually the sound of a dryer.
* 🧠 Builds confidence through new experiences when everything is kept calm, gentle, and positive.
* ❤️ Creates positive human interaction and teaches puppies that being handled and cared for is safe.
* ✂️ Prepares them for grooming, which is especially valuable for puppies that will need lifelong brushing, bathing, clipping, and professional grooming.
* 🧼 And, of course, it keeps their coats clean while they learn to potty train!

We always help Sweet Pea keep her babies clean, and I truly think it makes such a difference! All that extra handling and early exposure really seems to show in their sweet dispositions. 🤍🐶🫧🙌🏼
