🚲 Atreyu’s NeverEnding Story Adventure at Rainbow Parrot Rescue Florida, Inc.! 🌟🌈🦜
Today, Atreyu truly lived up to his legendary namesake! (Fans of The NeverEnding Story know exactly where his name comes from,) and today he set off on an adventure worthy of the movie. Rylan and I took him on a bike ride to visit Papa Pat, and Atreyu had an absolute blast! He perched on the handlebars, & the makeshift perch we made for him! 😆 He even enjoyed a stop for a drink of water at Papa Pat’s, and was ready to keep exploring. Papa Pat sure enjoyed his special visit, too!! Every day with this sweet boy is another, “NeverEnding Story,” of fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories. 🌈🦜
Watching parrots experience the world is one of the greatest joys of what we do. Safe, positive enrichment, and new experiences help build confidence, strengthen trust, and keep these incredibly intelligent birds mentally engaged. Seeing Atreyu soaking in the sights, sounds, and sunshine with his family was a reminder that life is all about the little adventures.
Here at Rainbow Parrot Rescue Florida, every day is a new chapter filled with feathers, fun, education, and lots of love. We can’t wait to share more of Atreyu’s journey with all of you!

Another fun shower day with our favorite Showerbird here at Rainbow Parrot Rescue Florida, Inc.!

This time, the star of bathtime was, “Aisling,” our Shamrock Macaw! As expected, Aisling kept us entertained. She’s usually a little fidgety, always wanting to hop around or splash in the water, but she’s also wonderful about staying on her perch.
She absolutely loved the gentle mist, but like most macaws, she also wanted to get completely soaked! That’s exactly why we always recommend a fully immersive bath whenever possible. The made it incredibly easy to give her the best of both worlds; … a relaxing mist, followed by the deep soaking she loves, … ALL without turning bathtime into a stressful or chaotic experience!!

Bath time is about so much more than getting clean. Regular showers help support healthy feathers, healthy skin, & overall well-being, while giving parrots an enriching experience they truly enjoy & desperately need. Aisling definitely approved, & had an absolute blast!

Please help us welcome two very special new residents to, Rainbow Parrot Rescue Florida, Inc. ; … “Aniya Calista,” our beautiful Brown Headed Parrot, &, “Echo,” the handsome, Meyer’s Parrot! 💙🦜 These two sweet parrots come to us under very sad circumstances, after the passing of their beloved owner. They spent their entire lives in one home, making this transition especially unique and emotional. While we’re not exactly sure of their ages, we believe they are somewhere between 17 and 29 years old, and have certainly lived long, cherished lives. Despite all the recent changes, Aniya Calista & Echo, have been settling in wonderfully, & are already enjoying their time here at Rainbow Parrot Rescue Florida. They are curious, entertaining, & full of personality, & “night nights!” We’re currently awaiting their bloodwork results, & look forward to learning even more about these incredible birds. Brown Headed Parrots & Meyer’s Parrots are not species we see every day; … making these two extra special additions to our flock. They are intelligent, engaging, & truly wonderful companion parrots. We can’t wait to share updates as they begin their next chapter with us.

Florida Parrot Rescue would love some help finding a home for this perfect little man! Please share! We know his forever home is out there!!

Romeo has been in foster care since November 2022. That's over 3 years of watching other birds find their forever homes while he patiently waits for his turn.
This sweet 5-year-old cockatiel isn't asking for much. Just a loving home, a comfy place to perch, and a lot of free range time. In fact, Romeo's favorite place in the world is right on top of your head. If you're missing a feathered hat, he's ready to help.
He loves to sing, enjoys his fresh chop and pellets, and prefers to come to you on his own terms. He's an easygoing little companion with a gentle personality and a heart full of love. *Must go to a home with other birds, as he thrives in that environment.
