Maine C**ns tend to have:
✨ Longer bodies & bigger paws
✨ Lynx-like ear tufts
✨ Super social temperaments

Domestic Long Hairs, on the other hand, are a mix of many breeds — each totally unique!🐱

🐾STAFF SPOTLIGHT🐾

Meet 🥁🥁 Emily and Alex! Two of our amazinggg receptionist who keeps this place running!

💜First off is Emily! She joined our family in 2022 starting out as a kennel tech we quickly learned she was born to be up front. She always has a smile on her face and has a go getter attitude! When she isn’t here you can find her with her kitty, Bugs, (who just happens to look like Snowflake *wink wink*) or connecting with nature, friends, and family. 🐱 🌈🦋

💙Alex joined us in 2020! She is our lead receptionist and is meant for the job! She is our go to for any questions and if she doesn’t know (which is very rare) she will find out the answer for you! If she isn’t at work you will often find her with friends, family, or her pup, Lady Mae, or she is whipping something up in the kitchen! She always makes sure to bring us samples so we never complain! 😋👩‍🍳🐶

We loves these girls and wouldn’t survive without them!! 🫶🫶

Up next for our staff introductions are our clinic goofballs — Jae & Alexis! 🎉

These two can usually be found laughing, cracking jokes, and bringing smiles to everyone around them. But beneath all that humor are two of the biggest and kindest hearts you’ll ever meet. 💚

✨ Jae joined our Skyview family in 2023, and we’re so thankful for her hard work day in and day out! She’s currently attending SEMO with plans to head to vet school next year. When she’s not caring for patients here, you can find her leading the SEMO Marching Band as a drum major at Saturday home games! 🎺🐾

🎨 Alexis became part of our team in 2020 and has been such a joy to have! A SEMO graduate (Class of 2023) with a degree in art, she’s our go-to creative for designs, pet portraits, and ceramics. In her free time, she loves diving into her art and spending time with her family and friends. 🐶💖

We’re so lucky to have these two talented, caring, and fun-loving people on our team!

Skyview was started in 1961 as a mixed animal practice to serve the Cape Girardeau County community. Throughout the years we have grown, but we have been able to keep a couple of core values: We love our clients and we love our patients. Our doctors practice exceptional medicine, but even more our staff is not only well educated, but extraordinarily kind.

We have expanded our patients from dogs and cats to include rabbits, ferrets, birds, reptiles, goats, sheep, wildlife, and other exotics. We would love to meet you and your family and have you entrust us with your furry family members care.
