Our boy freedom is looking for greener pastures. He is nearly a year old. He is an intact spotted miniature jack donkey. He is not registered. We were going to keep him, but we decided to get a registered jack instead. He is the first donkey, born on our farm. So he is spoiled rotten and loved. He would make a great herd sire or replacement jack as he should throw some amazing colored babies. He let's our grandson sit on him with no fuss. He leads and stands for the ferrier. We let Ruby & Tinkerbell out this morning, when we let the donkeys out. Ruby still seems to think she belongs in the house, even though she's never been allowed inside for more than five minutes. She had to come all the way up to the patio from the barn to use us as scratching posts.

Well...unfortunately little man didn't make it. 😪He fought a good fight, we fought a good fight, and the Drs tried their best! Thank you all for all the positive vibes and prayers. The main thing is we didn't want him suffering! This is the hard part of having all these wonderful animals. This is the part where you want to sell everything and not do it anymore but it's life and life has to go on. 99% of the time everyone stays healthy and brings so much joy so we must carry on. RIP little Franky! You were so loved in your short time on earth with us.

A message from the vet this morning on our Heidi mama and Franky baby. Positive vibes and prayers still needed please!❤️

Morning update - Heidi is doing well, no fever, good appetite, passing normal manure, good milk production, mild interest in the foal. Frankie made it through the night but is touch and go. I milked out Heidi and gave it to Frankie via his nasogastric tube every 2-3 hours overnight. He passed two piles of normal manure early in the night and had diarrhea sometime early this morning. Has urinated a few times. Earlier in the night he was brighter and standing up and moving around. Throughout the second half of the night he has been laying down and wont get up when I try to stimulate him to do so. His temperature has remained low in the 94-95 F range.

We got an amazing update from the Dr. Maggie. This is such a miracle and we believe it's from all of your positive vibe...

He's not out of the woods yet. But seeing him standing and holding his head up is a massive improvement!! Keep those positive vibes and prayers coming.

If you'll could send some positive vibes or says some prayers. Our little Heidi had her baby early this morning.. and it was so cold we did everything we could to get the baby warmed up but it wasn't happening fast enough. We got mama and baby at the vet now and they are working on the baby. We've only shared the happy moments at the farm but there sure are hard times also.

We had a busy day today with tours! It was awesome!! We need a extra person just to be snapping photos because again we were just in the moment and enjoying it and not taking many photos😉 so many smiles today!! We love being able to share our farm with everyone! ❤️❤️ We had some wonderful people drive 2hrs to get here today😊
