Grateful Greyhounds has a lovely available greyhound in need of an emergency situation. The adopters have had her for almost 2 weeks but made the heartwrenching decision that she is not a good fit for them. I am not looking for people to slam the adopters, ao those comments will not be tolerateded. If you want to help, then help GG find her a new home becausese the faster we can move her the better off she will be.

Introducing Karma (Karma is my boyfrnd), female ex racer, dob: April 13, 2023.

Karma is super sweet and affectionate and is even doing well with the cats.

She is young and is looking for a stable home to help her grow up and get into a routine. Karma is also just about housebroken.

Matteo is still is search of his forever home, I just can’t figure out why?

From Nancy Nelson, his foster mom:
Come on folks, who can resist this beautiful galgo looking for his forever home? He is @7 years old. He would do best in a quiet type neighborhood with another pup or 2 and someone who is home a lot. Matteo is an absolutely sweet, sensitive and calm boy. In foster with me on Long Island.

To be clear, his foster mom CANNOT adopt him, so we are actively searching for a home.

Grateful Greyhounds welcome phantom and Karma. The two gorgeous ex racers had a long day yesterday driving up from WVa. GG is so happy to have them. Phantom is adopted but Karma is looking for her forever home.

Introducing RIGO, the 25 lb podenco from Spain 🇪🇸 . Grateful Greyhounds is located on Long Island, NY.

Here is the report from his foster moms:
This is Rigo! He is 8-9 years old and has never met a stranger! His tail is always wagging, such a happy boy. He is a 25 pound Podenco who is full of life. He recently came to the US from Spain(thank you GEF and Grateful Greyhounds). He loves to cuddle on the couch and burrow under blankets. He is getting along great with his fellow foster siblings (Galgo Remo and Podenca Angelica). Housebreaking is coming along really well (we are keeping his party pants on for now just to make sure). He sleeps through the night is eating well and loves a good snack (but who doesn’t love a snack lol). He will sit for his snack and is even leaning to give you his Paw 🐾 prior to getting that snack! On days I am working from home he reports for duty with his foster siblings! He just loves to be with his humans 💜. He loves to sit and look out the window and is very interested in what is happening in the yard. We are working on leash skills as he wants to explore. He rides well in the car and had his wellness check with Dr Longo and is a healthy guy! He would make a great companion dog for someone. Please help find this sweet boy a home! How has this little dude not be snatched up yet? Grateful Greyhounds brought Copito to NY from Spain in April. This little goofy Spaniard loves everyone including other dogs and has never met a stranger, but no kitties for this guy. Copito was born January 6, 2023 and topped out at a whopping 20 lbs. He's a Spanish podenco mix. He is wondering why he does not have an adopter yet??Could you be the family for him? He would love to go on walks or hikes with you and love you up!!!!! He's clearly LOVING being an American 🇪🇸 🇺🇸 🐾❤️

There are times in life when things go a little sideways and dogs find themselves in a situation needing a new home. Their adopter received a brutal diagnosis and is just not able to care for these hounds the way she knows they deserve.

Doge (Perfect Storm) and Secret are a bonded 10 yr old pair who have lived in the same loving home for more than 7 years.

BOTH ARE CAT SAFE.

Hound Info:
1. REM Perfect Storm, aka Doge, brindle male, dob: 3/21/15. Doge is more reserved and shy so he would not do well in a city environment.
2. RPG Secret, wht & Brindle Female, dob: 9/27/15, more outgoing and friendly. Sweet girl.

If you are interested in giving these two a home please send me a private message. Ideally we would love for them to be adopted together BUT we will consider separate homes.

HLO’s Uncle Fester is doing great in his foster home and is wxcited to find his forever home. This ex racer would do great in a suburban or rural setting without cats or small dogs. He geta along with other, larger dogs. Uncle Fester was born Dec 28, 2022.

Needles wanted to remind everyone that he is looking for his forever home. Needles is a male greyhound, born Dec 1, 2022. He is doing very well in his foster home. No cats or small dogs for Needles but he does well in the city or the suburbs.
