🚨🚨 FRIENDS - NINA HAD 2 SEIZURES 🚨🚨EMERGENCY HOSPITALIZATION
DONATIONS NEEDED NOW 🙏🏻🐾
⚠️WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT⚠️The video contains footage of one of Nina’s seizures.

Our sweet blind Nina was started on seizure medication just a few weeks ago, making these breakthrough seizures. She is now receiving IV medications, bloodwork has revealed she is mildly anemic, another ultrasound is being performed, and she will be evaluated by a neurologist as soon as possible.

The estimate for her emergency care (included in the video) is currently $4,500–$6,700, and that does NOT include a potential MRI. We won’t know until she is evaluated by the neurologist.

🙏🏻 We need YOUR help RIGHT NOW to give Nina every chance possible. 🙏🏻 Donations can be made at:

We are incredibly grateful that Nina is stable at the moment. She is eating, drinking, and walking on her own. However, seizure clustering is VERY serious and can quickly become life-threatening.

Please donate if you can. If you can’t, please share Nina’s story. Every dollar and every share helps us continue fighting for her.

Please keep precious Nina in your thoughts and prayers 🙏🏻❤️‍🩹🙏🏻❤️‍🩹🙏🏻

Baby Storm 😍😍😍😍 flashback to 9 week old Storm

Repost from

Home Depot was a great place to start some public socialization with Storm. We made sure to go when it was not very busy, start on a weekday during a slower time. We don’t want to overwhelm our puppies. She was a champ going through automatic sliding doors.
These are things we don’t think about but are very important. Now if Storm would have been hesitant at all or startled, I would have worked far enough away from the doors with some fun tug or food reward training, anything that helps the puppy feel confident. I would build confidence and slowly move closer to the door as Storm was ready to move through. Forcing your pup to do these things before they are ready can cause aversions to new objects in the future.

The people who want to wall off Big Bend have never set foot in the region.

The farther someone lives from the borderlands, the less they understand the realities of this beautiful place— and that’s especially true when it comes to Big Bend.

Instead of listening to local sheriffs, border security experts, rural Texas businesses, and pretty much every single person who calls this region home, DHS is pushing to butcher Big Bend with completely unnecessary walls and roads. They’ve already awarded a no-bid $1.7 billion construction contract—the largest border-wall contract in American history.

The only people who benefit here are the corrupt politicians and billionaire contractors lining their pockets while irreparably destroying Texas’ most beloved national park.

Great speech here by local Big Bend guide Tyler Priest.

Right in our backyard
I was one of dozens of people who spoke out against the proposed data center project, the Coachella Technology Campus, at the community town hall on Monday.

To explain the beginning of the video; a few people before me a resident commented on the statement from the PR person leading the meeting that the agreement with Stronghold Power Systems was entered into to build infrastructure for the population growth of the City of Coachella. This person then asked how much had the population grown? No one on city council nor the development team could answer thus very simple question, so I did.

I then raised an issue that will effect not only Coachella, but Indio, La Quinta, and Thermal: heat islands. These giant proposed hyper centers (1 million square feet each) would raise the local temperature for a 6 mile radius by approximately 16 degrees.

I then asked my question: in one of the hottest places in North America, how are these even being proposed?

Worst abuse and breeding for sales into fighting rings !!!! Something has to f’ing change.
When someone abuses dogs/animals and/or neglects and participates in dog fighting (selling to those that fight dogs IS being involved!) they go to jail! It it ILLIGAL!!!! But this never applies to homeless - this is crap! Hey should be prosecuted and be thrown in jail!!

This has been getting SO bad for a long time now. The abuse and even sexual abuse toward these dogs is torture ! And if you think this is NOT going on in Orange County you are 100% WRONG! LOCK THEM UP! Throw away the key!!!!!!

Back to skid row. I think it’s important for people to see just how bad things have gotten here. Also I don’t want to hear that it’s “just a small part of the city”. Any animal abuse should be taken seriously. The fact of the matter is police have been told to stand down and not enforce the laws here. I’ve heard first hand experience from multiple people that this is the case. I’ve even had an officer tell me to my face that if they arrest someone who’s homeless, that they would get into trouble and forced to return them.
This is not an ok baseline for the city. Illegal breeding, spay neuter laws and animal abuse are something we should all agree are not acceptable.
I will say. There are some people on skid row that are doing the best they can for their animals. I want nothing but the best for them and I want them to get all the support that they need. But that is in no way the majority.
Huge shout out to for being out there helping the homeless and their pets every week. .tuccio for being out there every week. Thank you for coming out with us so you can use your voice to help out a stop to this.
and for coming out and helping to spread the word as well. This shouldn’t be a political issue. This should be a common sense issue that we can all agree needs to stop. skidrows

Let’s see the number for OC I won’t be surprised if it’s worse !

LA County Animal Control has a $65.6 MILLION budget — and the animals are getting the scraps.
79% ($52.1M) goes to Salaries & Benefits. Only 19% goes to actually feeding and caring for the animals.
But let’s be clear: we STAND with frontline workers. Kennel attendants are underpaid and understaffed. That $52M is being swallowed by administrative bloat — layers of management pulling $200K–$300K+ packages, expensive government pensions, and massive overtime bills because the county cut frontline staff by 14% since 2019 rather than just hiring more people.
The math doesn’t lie: $52.1M divided by 381 employees = $136K average. But entry-level kennel staff make $50K–$60K. So where’s the rest going?
Meanwhile, shelters rely on unpaid volunteers to walk and feed the animals every single day.
This is public money. You can verify every number yourself at ceo.lacounty.gov/budget — because taxpayers fund this agency, every dollar is public record.
The animals deserve better. Frontline workers deserve a full team. Cut the bloat.

Building confidence with puppies like Duncan starts with purpose-driven experiences.

By introducing your dog to a variety of surfaces, heights, balance challenges, social situations, training games, and enrichment activities, you help them develop skills, curiosity, and courage.

These confidence-building exercises are especially powerful for insecure or fearful pups—turning everyday training into a foundation of trust and fulfillment.
