We have a very special horse here looking for a special situation!

He's a stunning 16yr old 16h sorrel AQHA gelding. He has had a successful show career and moved on to being a lesson horse.

This big gentle gentle giant has a calcified hamstring. The vet does not consider it a lameness, but it does give him a bit of a mechanical gate behind.

He will walk, trot, and lope around comfortably but they do not feel it is fair to keep him in a more rigorous lesson program.

He's a saint to be around, easy to saddle, first up to you in the field type of guy.

He would be perfect for someone needing a bigger, quiet mount to have fun on. He likes to trail ride.

He is priced for an uncomplicated sale at $6500.

Meet "Chili"!

This stout little red mare is AWESOME!
Owner bought her as a late yearling.
They have put all the hard work into this mare right! She has seen all the sights, and has been hauled extensively.

Owner has kept her with a trainer who has shown her a handful of times at a few ranch shows.

"Chili" has been on cows and started in the roping. This mare handles it all with no fuss.

She has superior breeding, is built like brick house, sound, sane and ready to progress in the performance world. (Did I mention she's ADORABLE!?!)

What a year it's been here at Shaws Performance Horses.

We are thankful for our faithful barn family.
Thanks so much to those who have trusted our program this year.
We are greatful for steady and healthy horses.
We are always appreciative of our amazing help here at the farm.
To all the folks that consigned horses with us this year, we thank you.
To all the people who have trusted us to find you your new horse, we thank you too!!! We look forward to helping many more.

10yr old 14h buckskin trail riding machine

Everyone knows we stand behind what we sell here. I found this pony for a wonderful family that was looking for something for their 6 yr old granddaughter. They came to the farm and tried her, she passed a full PPE with flying colors, but she is not going to be a match for their kiddo. If Grandma needed another one she would not be for sale.


She was started late after having a foal at 4, and has done extensive trail riding but is not very arena savvy. She will walk, trot, and lope easily and controlled out on the trails.

She is very easy to get along with and super sweet.

Great for the farrier, stands tied for hours, easy to catch, easy to saddle, and easy to load and haul!
Has been used for beginner/intermediate lessons in the arena.

This big, gentle giant just wants to be a good boy. He doesn't get in a hurry and is happy to just walk and trot around. He is super smooth, and may have a little bit of gaited horse in there somewhere!

Owner wants him to find a great home where he is well loved.

Beautiful 6yr old AQHA mare standing a solid 15 2"

This mares sire needs no introduction. "Lacey" was started right,and has not been pushed into a show program. She is a blank slate for any job moving forward! This mare has lots of trail miles and has been hacked around by a novice amateur owner since being purchased in 2023.

Lacey is sound, sane, and a great prospect to finish off in any discipline, or just have a nice horse to enjoy riding at home.

She is a fantastic mover, and very willing and easy to get along with.

Passed full PPE with rads when originally purchased.

Owner is only selling as she's retiring and moving to the beach.

This guy is a super solid trail horse. Has been used to move cows as well. Red will pony other horses, drag logs, and is just a handy guy to have around.

We test drove him yesterday and he is so awesome as an off-roader. His owner says he's more confident with other horses around, but he didn't seem phased at all riding solo.
