Welcome Dr. Hammer to our team!! She brings with her a strong foundation in veterinary medicine, shaped by her education at Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in May 2024. Originally from Iowa, she’s always had a deep connection to animal care and a particular interest in internal medicine. Her dedication to patient care, strong communication skills, and collaborative spirit make her a natural fit for both our clients and our staff.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Hammer enjoys a vibrant and active lifestyle. She loves spending time outdoors—especially hiking and water skiing—and is always up for a new DIY project. She also enjoys traveling and experiencing new places and cultures. At home, she shares her life with her partner and their three cats, and she’s a proud pit bull enthusiast.

We’re excited to have Dr. Hammer as part of our hospital family and know she’ll continue to be an incredible asset to our team and community.

Meet Dr. Seymour, Our Newest Veterinarian!

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Seymour to our team! She brings over a decade of experience in veterinary medicine, having graduated in 2010. With special interests in oncology and dentistry, Dr. Seymour is passionate about providing top-notch care to our patients and educating pet owners on keeping their furry friends happy and healthy.

When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll likely find her spending time with her three beloved golden retrievers—because let’s be honest, there’s no such thing as too many goldens!

Join us in giving Dr. Seymour a warm welcome! If you see her at your next visit, don’t hesitate to say hello.

Brittany - Brittany is a receptionist at LCV. You will probably catch her crafting if she's not on the phone or with a client. It's her favorite hobby. She has her own craft drawers at work with command strips, markers, push pins, white out, paper, etc and is ready for any project we throw at her! She can spot a haunted house from a mile away and loves all things weird / creepy. Brittany is the person any of us can call if we need a friend or support system. She has a little and husband, and spends her time with them if she's not at work.

Hey, it's Heidi. I have been a vet receptionist for almost 2 years now. I plan on becoming a vet assistant/tech. I have 3 dogs named Gracie, Pup, Wrangler, and 2 horses named Magic & Little bit. This week is STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK here at LakeCross Veterinary! We are also having spirit week, if you see any of our staff looking crazy, that is why!

Our hospital manager will be highlighting a few different staff members that were comfortable with their photos being shared online this week, be on the look out for those posts so you can get to know those employees a bit more!

There are always clients who like to bring in goodies to celebrate the staff for this week, if you would like to drop something off for them, it is always greatly appreciated! If you are in the clinic this week it would mean a lot to them if you gave them a big THANK YOU!
